For this week, I will be answering the second question of the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #72 that says; Where are you struggling in becoming an entrepreneur?

We all know that in this world most especially in my country, becoming an entrepreneur is the best and only option for anyone who wishes to gain financial freedom because monthly paying jobs are not enough to take care of our needs and that of our families and most especially with our current economic downfall.
It's either you are being a monthly worker or an entrepreneur to be able to have enough income which has become everyone's dream now including the students of my country which I am not an exception to.
Since the Covid 19 lockdown, up until now, getting a monthly paying job has been a No go area for me especially because of the challenges I went through in my former job but notwithstanding, during this period, I have empowered myself on some skills that I thought would be needful for my life journey but fortunately, I have not been lucky with being able to startup such skills to be able to fetch me a reasonable amount of money like I have seen others did.

Secondly, for this past year, I was opportune to meet people who are involved in businesses that helped them earn while at home but I could not get myself involved because of just one problem which is hindering me from becoming an entrepreneur and it is the problem of my poor marketing skills
I pretty well know how poor I can be in my marketing skills and many times I wish I could learn how to do that. I am poor in both online marketing and physical marketing, I find it difficult to get the right audience for my products.
A few months ago, I contacted a lady who was into the cosmetic business and I told her my intention of joining the business, she told me about the business and I found it worthwhile but at a point, I became afraid because I was afraid people will not get to buy the products most especially because of the cost and since I am not someone who uses cosmetics, I felt some other persons will not see the need to want to use their money to get such products.
I would love to invite @mhizerbee and @udygold to participate in this contest and here is the link to the contest.
this is wonderful!
Being an entrepreneur in Nigeria has it's hassles and they are not small at all. Lol. I know what you mean... 🍷
Since you already know where to improve, you could learn through online courses or just observing those who are successful in marketing. Not to mention, you can see where people in your country most likely gather. Are they using instagram more, facebook more, once you figure out the hotspot, it's all about the content that you put out there to market your product. And again, it's one step at a time. Good luck with finding something that would help you in the entrepeneur world!
My problem is in how to market my content on those social media and for the online courses, I think I am going to try that out.
Thank you for your comment.
Wearing and using the cosmetics you are selling is the best marketing tool, I think, especially if you intend to sell the product locally.
You are indeed right but unfortunately, I am among the lazy ones who do not like using cosmetics because I feel I don't have such time to do that but I indeed love seeing people moderately use them.
You received 2 LADY(LOH) tokens for entering the Ladies of Hive contest!
We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hold LOH tokens over a long period of time.
To sell a product one would have to demonstrate trust in using the product to clients, be able to apply cosmetics and give advice to which products suit the persons personal needs in cosmetics.
Most large cosmetic companies will offer some form of short tuition when selling the startup kit, ask for promotional photography to use, or take photography of your own, be sure to ask the company involved about their rules before starting. Failing which go online and search YouTube, Instagram, Facebook to see how others go about selling the product.
Good luck!
Thanks for the invite @evegrace .
Really been off for a while and was looking out for where to begin and I think this isn't a bad idea at all.
Greetings friend! Daring is the best way to start, but if you get better and captivate clients if you use the products you sell and even show them how to use them!
I am facing the same problem, but yes nowadays social media makes it a little easy to market your product.
If you are shy about marketing your products face to face to people, try snapping and posting them on your status. Put them on your Instagram page or even face book. You can start with your colleagues also
