Hello dear community. A big hello in this edition # 97 of the ladies of Hive. This time I will answer the questions that our friend @saffisara asks:

1️⃣ What’s something you could teach me about?

I learned about martial arts when I was 17 years old, a beautiful and very disciplinary art. Quite contrary to what many people think that by learning this art we will be attacking everyone who comes our way, no. This art is based on the block and then if necessary, the attack. So I practiced it as a way of learning how to defend myself in the event that I needed to.

After knowing that I was pregnant for the second time, I stopped practicing and dedicated myself to my house and my children. I left behind my medals, trophies and desire to continue to get fully into the mom roll, but when my children were a certain age we enrolled them in a martial arts dojo to practice self-defense. All three won many trophies and medals.

What do I have to teach you about this?

When I arrived in Colombia I met the same group that we used to practice a few years ago, we are all contemporary in age and they invited me to join the group. I said: why not?

I was wanting to do physical activity since I spend a lot of time on the computer and I am very sedentary. I know from experience that martial arts is a good sport to lose weight and stretch my old bones.

When my family found out that I was practicing again they were very happy, only my sister warned me to be careful because because of my age I can't make sudden movements that could lead to an injury. But what is learned well is not forgotten and here we are aware of how old we are and that is why I do the exercises until I get very tired or what I cannot do I do not do, until I get a little physical condition.

If you say: I can't, you won't even be 15 years old. I confess that when I started I thought I wouldn't make it, but it's a matter of constantly practicing, doing my warm-up exercises and continuing until I can do things pretty much the same as I did in my heyday.

Don't get carried away by a first: You can't. Neither yours nor anyone else's, try first and you'll see if you can.

2️⃣ What’s the most useful thing you own?

Oh well, the most useful thing I have now is my computer to make my publications and communicate with all of you and my cell phone to communicate with my family in Venezuela.

My grandson spent the whole year waiting for his birthday and the day came and he held me away from him, but I was present by video call and I saw all his birthday through voice messages and calls I made to him.

It was very useful for me to see the happy face that my grandson had. His wishes had finally been fulfilled, the theme decoration of the Crash Bandicoop game, the piñata was a surprise and the cake that his favorite cousin made him. Dream fulfilled and full happiness.

Hola querida comunidad. Un gran saludo en esta edicion # 97 de las damas de Hive. En esta oportunidad contestare las preguntas que hace nuestra amiga @saffisara:

1️⃣ ¿Qué es algo que podrías enseñarme?

Conoci de las artes marciales a mis 17 años, un arte hermoso y muy disciplinario. Muy contrario a lo que muchas personas piensan que al aprender este arte vamos a estar atacando a todo el que se nos presente, no. Este arte se base en el bloqueo y luego si es necesario, el ataque. Asi que lo practicaba como una forma de aprender a defenderme en el llegado caso que lo necesitara.

Luego de saber que estaba embarazada por segunda vez deje de practicar y me dedique a mi casa y a mis hijos. Deje atras mis medallas, trofeos y ganas de seguir para meterme de lleno en el roll de mama, pero cuando mis hijos tuvieron cierta edad los inscribimos en un Dojo de artes marciales para que practicaran defensa personal. Los tres ganaron muchos trofeos y medallas.

Que tengo que enseñarte sobre esto ?

Cuando llegue a Colombia me encontre con el mismo grupo que soliamos practicar hace unos cuantos años, todos somos contemporaneos en edad y me invitaron a que me uniera al grupo. Yo dije: Por que no ?

Estaba queriendo hacer actividad fisica ya que paso mucho tiempo en la computadora y soy muy sedentaria. Se por experiencia que las artes marciales es un buen deporte para bajar de peso y para estirar mis viejos huesos.

Cuando mi familia supo que estaba practicando de nuevo se pusieron muy contentos, solo mi hermana me advirtio que tuviera cuidado ya que por mi edad no puedo hacer movimientos bruscos que podrian llevarme a una lesion. Pero lo que bien se aprende no se olvida y aqui estamos conscientes de la edad que tenemos y por eso yo hago los ejercicios hasta donde me canse mucho o lo que no pueda hacer no lo hago, hasta que tome un poco de condicion fisica.

Si tu dices: no puedo, no podras ni que tengas 15 años. Confieso que cuando comence pense que no lo lograria, pero es cuestion de practicar constantemente, hacer mis ejercicios de calentamiento y seguir hasta que pueda hacer las cosas bastante parecidas a como las hacia en mis buenos tiempos.

No te dejes llevar por un primer: No puedes. Ni tuyo ni de nadie, prueba primero y veras que si se puede.

2️⃣ ¿Qué es lo más útil que tienes?

Oh bueno, lo mas util que tengo ahora es mi computadora para hacer mis publicaciones y comunicarme con todos ustedes y mi telefono celular para comunicarme con mi familia en Venezuela.

Mi nieto paso todo el año esperando su cumpleaños y llego el dia y me agarro lejos de el, pero estuve presente mediante video llamada y vi todo su cumpleaños por mensajes de voz y llamadas que le hice.

Fue muy util para mi para ver la cara de felicidad que tenia mi nieto. Sus deseos se le habian cumplido finalmente, la decoracion tematica del juego de Crash Bandicoop, la piñata fue sorpresa y la torta que le hizo su prima favorita. Sueño cumplido y felicidad plena.

Wow... That is really impressive.
martial arts seems like something I would like, and usually when you don’t know much about Sports like this we think... Its just kicks and arms... But it is much more than that like focus your mind, train your body and dicipline.
I think it is admireble that you started doing this again and you look badass on the pictures.
