Well I come to bring you my experience in the already super famous Simon Bolivar monumental stadium, or as it is already popularly called, the stadium of the corner 🏟️
Hola hola mi gente bonita de Hive. ¿Calentando los motores para esta semana del amor? (Digo semana porque al caer Martes la gente siempre hace planes para el resto de la semana o el fin de semana 🤭)
Pues yo vengo a traerles mi experiencia en el ya super famoso estadio monumental Simón Bolívar, o como ya se le dice popularmente, el estadio de la rinconada 🏟️

Well, like everything in my life this came as a surprise. Thursday night I was doing the evening chores when my husband told me "Katy, we are going to the final tomorrow!" And I said to myself "Yessssss!.... But...what about Púa?" 😅
I'll just say that 11 p.m. is not a good time to look for a dog sitter, but I had to try. My dad and my best friend told me they couldn't, so my few options became scarcer.
I decided to go to sleep and figure it out tomorrow. Just as I'm getting up, my mom calls me saying she wanted to go for a walk... I played my card and her first answer was an angry no... I stayed quiet while my CPU finished booting up and got another call from my mom saying yes, but we'll walk first.
Pues bueno, como todo en mi vida esto cayó de sorpresa. La noche del jueves estaba haciendo las labores de la noche cuando mi esposo me dice "¡Katy, vamos a la final de mañana!" Y yo para mis adentros "¡Siiii!... Pero…¿y Púa? 😅
Solo diré que las 11 de la noche no es una buena hora para buscar niñera perruna, pero había que intentarlo. Mi papá y mi mejor amiga me dijeron que no podían, por lo que mis escasas opciones se hicieron más escasas.
Decidí ir a dormir y ya mañana resolvería. Justo cuando me estoy levantando, mi mamá me llama diciendo que quería salir a pasear… Yo jugué mi carta y su primera respuesta fue un enojado no… me quedé tranquila mientras mi CPU terminaba de arrancar y recibí otra llamada de mi mamá diciendo que si, pero que primero pasearemos.

I proceeded to arrange everything to go out with Púa, who is still under house arrest until I managed to get her vaccinated with God's favor the first week of March 🙏🏻
I arrived at 10:30am with a relaxed attitude and ready to walk. I thank God I had enough money to treat my mom to a nice lunch at a new place. I didn't take pictures because ✨ giddy forever ✨ but I'll be back soon because the food was DE-LI-CIOUS 😋.
Soon it was 5:30pm and it was time to meet my sweetie. After giving Púa lunch and giving my mom the last instructions, I ran out to plaza Venezuela. Thank God it's a short bus ride from my mom's house, because my husband had been waiting for me since 4:30pm 😅
Procedí a arreglar todo para salir con Púa, quién todavía está en arresto domiciliario hasta que logre vacunarla con el favor de Dios la primera semana de Marzo 🙏🏻
Llegué a las 10:30 con una actitud relajada y lista para caminar. Doy gracias a Dios que tenía suficiente dinero para invitar a mi mamá a un rico almuerzo en un nuevo lugar. No tomé fotos porque ✨ atolondrada forever ✨ pero regresaré pronto porque la comida estaba RI-QUI-SI-MA 😋
Pronto se dieron las 5:30 y ya era hora de encontrarme con mi amorcito. Luego de darle el almuerzo a Púa y darle las últimas instrucciones a mi mamá, salí corriendo hasta plaza Venezuela. Gracias a Dios que es un viaje corto en autobús desde la casa de mi mamá, porque mi esposo me estaba esperando desde las 4:30 😅

To our surprise the metro was quiet. We literally went sitting all the way to the corner, which seemed like a miracle on a Friday at 6pm 😳.
When we arrived, the crowd was far from normal. It felt like New Year's Eve. Horns, cars, people, music... everything, and suddenly we see the dome of a giant structure in the middle of the sunset. A promise that we would see something completely new.
Para nuestra sorpresa el metro estaba tranquilo. Literal nos fuimos sentados hasta la rinconada, cosa que parecía un milagro un viernes a las 6 de la tarde 😳
Al llegar, el gentío no era nada normal. Aquello parecía año nuevo. Bocinas, carros, gente, música… de todo, y de repente vemos la cúpula de una estructura gigante en medio del atardecer. Una promesa de que veríamos algo completamente nuevo

We started our walk. I had gotten the idea that we would have to walk a lot from the comments I had heard about the first impressions. But once again I can say that people like to complain and exaggerate.
The distance wasn't that much really, but you did have to climb quite a few stairs and go through 4 security filters 😐 They wouldn't let in, cosmetics, glass objects, objects that could be used as a weapon... A cologne from my brother-in-law and a fork from my house passed on to another owner that night....
Anyway, the crowd was unbelievable and we had not yet arrived at the site.
Empezamos nuestra caminata. Yo me había hecho una idea de que tendríamos que caminar muchísimo por los comentarios que había escuchado sobre las primeras impresiones. Pero una vez más puedo decir que a la gente le gusta quejarse y exagerar.
La distancia no era tanta realmente, pero si había que subir bastantes escaleras y pasar por 4 filtros de seguridad 😐 No dejaban pasar, cosméticos, objetos de vidrio, objetos que pudieran usarse como un arma… Una colonia de mi cuñado y un tenedor de mi casa pasaron a mejor vida con otro dueño esa noche…
En fin, el gentío era increíble y aún no habíamos llegado al lugar.

When we finally arrived, the noise and light welcomed us to another space. A door to another reality, where ownership and joy reigned.
Everything seemed like a party, drinks, food, people taking pictures, promoters, live samba, and even companies promoting cars and motorcycles 😳 pure joy was what we breathed.
We were shocked at how ridiculously big that stadium is. If you ask me 32,000 people is enough to fill a medium sized town, I still find it unbelievable that there were so many people in one place.
Cuando llegamos finalmente, el ruido y la luz nos dieron una bienvenida a otro espacio. Una puerta a otra realidad, dónde la propiedad y la alegría reinaban.
Todo parecía una fiesta, bebidas, comida, gente sacándose fotos, promotoras, samba en vivo, y hasta empresas promocionando carros y motos 😳 pura alegría era lo que se respiraba.
Nosotros estábamos impactados de lo irrisoriamente grande que es ese estadio. Si me lo preguntan 32.000 personas es suficiente para llenar un pueblo mediano, aún me parece increíble que hubiese tal cantidad de gente en un solo lugar.

However, when we got inside we didn't have much time to detail as we were already on time and needed to get to our seats to watch the game start.
My sister-in-law managed to find seats all the way up on the top floor, which in this case is the bleachers, right behind Home. As I climbed the small stairs I felt like I was going to fall off the balcony. Vertigo does its thing in that space, but luckily it only lasts for a moment.
Then you can detail everything. The ultra HD4K screen, the immense amount of people, the dogouts of both teams, the perfect view of the diamond. It doesn't matter which seat you buy, from anywhere you can see it perfectly, but if you're short you'd better sit very straight 🤭.
Sin embargo, al entrar no tuvimos mucho tiempo para detallar pues ya estábamos sobre la hora y necesitábamos llegar a nuestros lugares para ver el inicio del partido.
Mi cuñada logró encontrar asientos hasta arriba en el último piso, que en este caso son las gradas, justo detrás del Home. Al subir las pequeñas escaleras sentí que me iba a caer por el balcón. El vértigo hace de las suyas en aquel espacio, pero por suerte solo dura un momento.
Luego puedes detallar todo. La pantalla ultra HD4K, la inmensa cantidad de gente, los dogouts de ambos equipos, la vista perfecta del diamante. No importa qué asiento compres, desde donde sea se ve perfecto, pero si eres bajito/a te conviene sentarte muy derecho 🤭

The game started and we were still bluffing and taking pictures in our states 😅 but the sound of the horns was spectacular, no comparison with the university stadium that if you are far away from the roofed part you can't hear anything.
In the third inning, we decided to go out to eat something and continue watching the stadium. The prices were not at all supportive. The cheapest dog we found was 2.5 and the truth was very simple if I compare it with the ones here around my house, that for the same price they even serve me french fries 😑
El juego empezó y nosotros todavía estábamos faranduleando montando fotos en nuestros estados 😅 pero el sonido de las cornetas era espectacular, sin punto de comparación con el estadio universitario que si estás muy alejado de la parte techada no escuchas nada.
En el tercer inning, decidimos salir a comer alguito y seguir viendo el estadium. Los precios no eran nada solidarios. El perro más barato que encontramos fue de 2.5 y la verdad estaba muy simple si lo comparo con los de aquí por mi casa, que por el mismo precio me sirven hasta papas fritas 😑

One thing I really liked was that on each floor, there was a civil protection tent for first aid. That seemed to me a total success, because always in these events there can be an accident and it is better to be forewarned.
Una cosa que me gustó mucho fue que en cada piso, había una carpa de protección civil para primeros auxilios. Eso me pareció un total acierto, porque siempre en estos eventos puede haber un accidente y es mejor estar prevenidos.

I am not going to comment on the game itself because we all know what happened. However, I would like to make a small reflection.
The fans can be very toxic and it is a very idiotic thing. For example, behind us was a guy about 30 something. He was the most repellent being on the planet.
He was lying to all the players, he complained that the country was a 💩 , he complained about Mr. Gregorio Valles, an announcer who has been cheering Baseball games for more than 30 years, he complained about the stadium, at no time did he support the team in a positive way, rather he was complaining and criticizing everything with a level of anger and rudeness totally out of place, as if he was the owner of the national team.
And my question is... Why do you go to the stadium then? 🙄 You go to have a good time, win or lose and by the way "you're not playing " . What's more, 90% of us who were there, haven't even picked up a real baseball bat in our life 🤷🏻 What are we complaining about? We can complain about bad coaching decisions, but not about those guys who have been playing without rest for 4 months.
No voy a comentar sobre el juego en sí porque ya todos sabemos lo que pasó. Sin embargo quiero hacer una pequeña reflexión.
La fanaticada puede ser muy tóxica y es algo muy idiota. Por ejemplo, detrás de nosotros estaba un tipo de unos 30 y algo. Era el ser más repelente del planeta.
Le mentó la madre a todos los jugadores, se quejó de que el país era una 💩 , se quejo del señor Gregorio Valles, un locutor que lleva más de 30 años animando partidos de Baseball, se quejó del estadio, en ningún momento apoyó de forma positiva al equipo, más bien se quejaba y criticaba todo con un nivel de rabia y groserías totalmente fuera de lugar, como si él fuera el dueño de la selección nacional.
Y mi pregunta es… ¿Para qué vas entonces al estadio? 🙄 Uno va a pasarla bien, pierda o gane el equipo y de paso "tu no estás jugando" . Es más, el 90% de los que estábamos allí, no hemos ni agarrado un bate real de Baseball en nuestra vida 🤷🏻♀️ ¿De qué nos quejamos? Podemos quejarnos de malas decisiones del entrenador, pero no de esos hombres que llevan jugando sin descanso 4 meses.

Other curious things that happened was a raffle organized by the ministry of tourism in which 3 couples won packages to different tourist places. For Canaima, Merida and Margarita 🤩😍 tremendous prize.
They also did the kiss cam activity, very popular in the USA but never seen here in Venezuela, it was very funny to see the faces of the couples 🤣😂 some even kissed pitifully just to comply and others gave each other a tremendous french kiss 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I hope that if we are going to keep bringing in outside traditions, they take the idea of bringing in the competitions between team mascots. We will have to pay more to those who dress up but finally they will have some real activity 😂
Otras cosas curiosas que sucedieron fue una rifa organizada por el ministerio de turismo en el que 3 parejas ganaron paquetes para diferentes lugares turísticos. Para Canaima, Mérida y Margarita 🤩😍 tremendo premio.
También realizaron la actividad de la kiss cam, muy popular en EE.UU pero que nunca se había visto aquí en Venezuela, fue muy divertido ver las caras de las parejas 🤣😂 algunas incluso se besaron con pena solo para cumplir y otras se dieron un tremendo latazo 🤣
Espero que si vamos a seguir trayendo tradiciones de afuera, tomen la idea de traer las competencias entre mascotas de equipo. Habrá que pagarle más a los que se disfrazan pero por fin tendrán algo de actividad real 😂

By the 8th inning we knew the outcome was written. My husband and I decided to take a little walk around to continue to see more about the stadium.
We learned that there were elevators, huge, clean, flush toilets, and plenty of food stands and booths. Even a video game booth 🤩 (Although they had nothing to do with Baseball but they were still cool 😂).
When they announced that R.D had already won the game, we were taking pictures in a huge mural of Venezuela. Why stress if we can still enjoy our Venezuelan pride? 😎
Ya para el 8vo inning sabíamos que el resultado estaba escrito. Mi esposo y yo decidimos dar una pequeña vuelta para seguir viendo más sobre el estadio.
Nos enteramos que había ascensores, baños grandísimos, limpios y con agua, y un montón de stands y puestos de comida. Incluso un stand de videojuegos 🤩 (Aunque no tenían nada que ver con Baseball pero igual estaban chéveres 😂)
Cuando anunciaron que ya R.D había ganado el juego, nosotros estábamos tomándonos fotos en un mural grandísimo de Venezuela ¿Para qué estresarse si aún podemos disfrutar de nuestro orgullo venezolano? 😎

Finally we left there a little sad and disappointed by the result, but certainly happy for having lived the experience of visiting the stadium (and to see it now that it is beautiful because we all know what happens with the works of the state)
I would like to tell you that this is how it all ended, but no.... There is still more ✨ Venezuelan Experience✨.
Well it turns out that just as we came by subway, by subway we left. It was already 12 o'clock at night and we were full sleepy. We were sitting down and the carriage was relaxed. Well we went about 4 stations and they sent us to vacate before reaching the central station 😡🤬🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬🤬😡
Lying mother was an understatement. People wanted to burn that train... but as everything here is a relajo, everyone started to fuck around saying that since the game was over, that was a ✨Back to reality✨ or the classic "Well gentlemen it's already Monday, let's get to work " 😂
Finalmente salimos de allí un poco tristes y decepcionados por el resultado, pero sin duda felices por haber vivido la experiencia de visitar el estadio
(y de verlo ahora que está bonito porque ya todos sabemos lo que pasa con las obras del estado)
Quisiera decirles que así terminó todo, pero no…. Aún queda más ✨ Venezuelan Experience✨.
Pues resulta que así como nos vinimos en metro, en metro nos fuimos. Ya eran las 12 de la noche y teníamos full sueño. Íbamos sentados y el vagón estaba relajado. Pues que avanzamos como 4 estaciones y nos han mandado a desalojar antes de llegar a la estación central 😡🤬🤬😡🤬😡🤬
Mentar madre fue poco. La gente quería quemar ese tren… pero como aquí todo es un relajo, todos empezaron a joder diciendo que como ya se había acabado el juego, eso era un ✨De vuelta a la realidad✨ o el clásico "Bueno señores ya es lunes, a trabajar" 😂

In about 3 minutes the next train arrived and after transferring, we finally arrived at our station. But the party wasn't over yet. Everyone got hungry and we stayed another hour eating (I rather accompanied reading on my phone, but I couldn't stand the sleep anymore).
So we arrived at 3am and went to bed at 3:20 between going to the bathroom and all that. But well these are the experiences that fill the soul with memories 😂😂
En unos 3 minutos llegó el siguiente tren y después de hacer trasbordo, finalmente llegamos a nuestra estación. Pero aún no acababa la fiesta. A todos les dio hambre y nos quedamos otra hora comiendo (yo más bien acompañado leyendo en mi teléfono, pero ya no aguantaba el sueño)
Total que llegamos a las 3am y nos acostamos a las 3:20 entre ir al baño y todo eso. Pero bueno estas son las experiencias que llenan el alma de recuerdos 😂😂

Muy buen relato y apoyo lo del señor que se queja; yo también era la que gritaba ¡CORRE! ¡PASA LA PELOTA! Y cosas así. Un día entendí eso que dices: Nunca he agarrado un bate así que no puedo decidir por lo que esta pasando en el terreno entre gente experimentada, que cobran por eso 🤣.

Excelentes fotografías, también me hubiera gustado estar en el estadio en la final aunque perdimos.
Sabes que en estadio de Maracay también hacen Kiss cam en los entretiempos creo que se ha vuelto popular.
Me alegra que la hayan pasado rico y que no se dejaron influenciar por el hombre de atrás que en vez de disfrutar casi le da un infarto. Jajaja como si el estuviera jugando.
