If there is a country I want to visit it would be New Zealand. I was awed by the breathtaking view either in summer or winter. It looks peaceful and refreshing. Not only that but I want to experience living in a place with snow unlike in my country.

You were offered a job by an overseas firm in a country you've always wanted to visit. However, you cannot take your immediate family (spouse and kids) with you until two years later. Would you grab the opportunity? Share your thoughts, please.

This was one of the questions asked by @ifarmgirl . So if I am offered now will I grab it?

My answer is NO, yes despite how chaotic the Philippines now due to politics I won't leave.

WHY?

It was because of Caleb. Others might say it wasn't a good decision and I was letting a good opportunity pass. If you're a Mom you might understand me.

The world is no longer the same as it was decades ago. Money was worship instead of Faith and many lacked humanity. Leaving my son won't give me peace.

Taking care of him now needs a lot of patience and only a relative can tolerate it.

Before I was still considering getting a nanny so maybe I could go back to work. However, this recent news totally changed my mind and dismissed the idea.

The daughter of local celebrity here Kim Atienza Emman recently took her life. news here. She's only 19 and it was due to mental health. Thus after watching one of her past interviews, I had known that she was abused by her nanny when she was still a kid. That was one of the great factors that affected her growing up.

Then to be added this other content creator who broke down after knowing how the nanny abused her baby. Slapping, forcing him to feed.

We all know how these toddlers, babies and kids would test our patience. Maybe since these people are only after for the salary they were impatient. Their tolerance level was too short that is why this happened.

Though a part of me wanted to work in order to ensure his future, the thought of him still needing me now was enough to stay at home.

Yes they say, oppurtunity knocks only once but I believe I can still chase my career back in time. Money could be earned as long as I am healthy and motivated. Yet, guiding my son in this fragile still couldn't be turned back once I lapsed.

It's hard to trust nowadays. People hide in sheep skin.😌😬

Exactly

I am so sorry for that young girl who lost her life due to trauma. My mom always told me to never trust a nanny without any family supervision. I grew up with a nanny but my mom/grandma were present. It's like one of my baseline these days if I were to like hire a nanny in the future.

Have you looked into more working from home options?

This days it's hard to entrust babies into others care.

Yeah, maybe it would work if there is family supervision

I haven't look for wfh yet, maybe next year

I second you on your decision, sis. It's scary to leave your baby with others. Hindi ka rin mapapakali for sure.

Nakakasad din yung experiences ng teenager na yon sa dati nyang yaya🥲

Diba? What's the used of having a lot of money when you're kid is compromise?

I understand @lhes weighing your absence from your son versus having some financial security for your son.
My sons are young adults now and I would still be reluctant to part for any long time. I find my siblings more dependent on me since our mother passed on. I am financially sound in my retirement soon.
