Cuando recibí la invitación de @maykit55 a participar y leí las dos preguntas relacionadas con el Concurso de esta semana, decidí que iba a compartir con ustedes lo que ha sido para mí ser quien soy al día de hoy.

Para mí es un placer compartir con ustedes estimadas mujeres la razón de ser de mi esencia de vida. Desde muy pequeña fui una persona con personalidad definida. Parte de esa personalidad fue consecuencia de mis largas horas de lectura. Me encantó leer desde muy niña. A los nueve años de edad ya era una asidua lectora. Desde que ingresé a estudiar bachillerato (los estudios que en mi amada Venezuela anteceden a los estudios universitarios) ya sabía que me dedicaría a estudiar una carrera relacionada con las ciencias. Me encantan las matemáticas desde muy joven y soy amante de la Madre Tierra desde que tengo conciencia. Decidí que iba a estudiar Química desde que estaba en tercer año de bachillerato. Cuando ingresé a la Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), decidí cursar asignaturas de la carrera de Biología. Me encantó esa experiencia y mis notas fueron excelentes. Sin embargo, decidí que mi carrera era la Química y me gradué. Seguí mis estudios de Especialización, Maestría y Doctorado en áreas que tenían que ver con la Madre Naturaleza y con la Química. La Química está en todos los sistemas y procesos de la vida. Si me preguntasen, en este momento, si volvería a estudiar Química; les respondería con absoluta certeza: "sí, volvería a estudiar Química". En muchas ocasiones he escrito que "soy una mujer de ciencia que inspira su vida en la Madre Tierra, nuestra Pachamama".
It is a pleasure for me to share with you dear women the raison d'être of my life essence. From a very young age I was a person with a defined personality. Part of that personality was a consequence of my long hours of reading. I loved reading from a very young age. At the age of nine I was already an assiduous reader. From the time I entered high school (the studies that in my beloved Venezuela precede university studies) I already knew that I would dedicate myself to studying a career related to science. I have loved mathematics since I was very young and I have been a lover of Mother Earth for as long as I have been aware of it. I decided that I was going to study chemistry when I was in my third year of high school. When I entered the Simón Bolívar University (USB), I decided to study Biology. I loved the experience and my grades were excellent. However, I decided that my career was chemistry and I graduated. I went on to do my Specialisation, Master's and Doctorate studies in areas that had to do with Mother Nature and Chemistry. Chemistry is in all systems and processes of life. If you were to ask me, at this moment, if I would study chemistry again, I would answer with absolute certainty: "yes, I would study chemistry again". On many occasions I have written that "I am a woman of science who draws her inspiration for her life from Mother Earth, our Pachamama".
Did you dream of being another person?
Me encanta ser quien soy. Una mujer de ciencia cuya musa inspiradora es la Madre Tierra que se dedica a amar, reír, compartir y ser quien escribe su historia. Jamás pudiera decir que quisiera ser otra persona. Amo ser quien soy. Me encanta ser independiente emocional y financieramente, aunque debo decirles que el camino recorrido me ha dado extraordinarios días. Algunos días de gozo, diversión, placer, satisfacción y esos días los he disfrutado al máximo. Otros días han sido de grandes lecciones. En esos días sólo me he dedicado a identificar el aprendizaje. En esta dinámica de vida he logrado identificar las rocas en mi camino y les puedo decir que las he pintado de hermosos colores para que el camino transitado sea multicolor. Desde mi percepción, el éxito no es la meta en sí misma. Para mí, el éxito es el camino recorrido. Me encantó compartir con ustedes mi prosa reflexiva el día de hoy. Agradecida.
I love being who I am. A woman of science whose inspirational muse is Mother Earth who is dedicated to loving, laughing, sharing and being the one who writes her story. I could never say I would want to be anyone else. I love being who I am. I love being emotionally and financially independent, although I must tell you that the road I have travelled has given me extraordinary days. Some days of joy, fun, pleasure, satisfaction and those days I have enjoyed to the fullest. Other days have been days of great lessons. On those days I have only dedicated myself to identifying the learning. In this dynamic of life I have been able to identify the rocks in my path and I can tell you that I have painted them in beautiful colours so that the road travelled is multicoloured. From my perception, success is not the goal in itself. For me, success is the road travelled. I was delighted to share my reflective prose with you today. Grateful.
