A new stage and a new challenge
In this opportunity I participated as a coach of the women's team, being the captain of this team, not as an athlete, I had the hope that chess could be free category as in other disciplines but unfortunately it remained in the youth category U20.
I accepted the responsibility and the challenge, I prepared myself to help the team, I worked during the months prior to the competition to help the girls in their chess and to be among the best in the tournament.
A few days before the competition the men's coach contacted me and told me that he got COVID-19 and notified me that he could not travel and that I should assume the role of men's coach and also be the captain, with this news I was nervous because we were just a few days away and I had all the work with the women's team but with the men was at zero, I made a quick draft of the men's teams to face and the men's coach told me that he would be in contact with me via whatsapp to help me with the boys.
A contingency plan
The men's coach and the delegate could not attend, in this situation we had to make a contingency plan, one of the representatives assumed the role of delegate and another one of the men's coach, filling those vacancies that were being left empty, They are mothers who have no idea how to play chess or how are the rules and parameters of playing chess but they are women who love and support their children, in this situation the 3 of us supported each other, I was indicating what to do in each part and by common sense and logic they were aware of the logistics to follow in the national games.
The delegate earned the nickname of super delegate, she did a wonderful job, the room where I stayed with the girls had a problem with the bathroom, there was no water and the super delegate spoke with a minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and even with the president of the Venezuelan chess federation to solve the inconvenience of the bathroom, the girls and I were delighted with the work of our super delegate, even the delegates from other states were delighted with her way of speaking and her involvement, the coach of the men's team was a little nervous about the work she had to do, I told her not to worry about it because I would help her with everything, but in the technical congress we were informed that the captain of the female could be the same as the male, I called the coach of the male who could not travel and he told me to assume the two captainships, The representative was glad not to have to get into unknown waters and supported us with the logistics for the entire delegation, water for hydration, some snacks to have more energy among other things, we made an extraordinary team and many states congratulated us for the wonderful work we did as a team and united women.
Women in power
The women's team did an extraordinary job, we managed to win 4 medals, 2 silver medals by team in the classic and blitz modality, and two bronze medals by boards, the men's team did a good job, they were in the 4th position, in general terms we fulfilled the objectives in spite of everything, we did very well and when we returned home we met as a celebration and the delegate who had to go and for life's reasons could not attend congratulated us and said that he did a good job. Each one of us did her part to help the team in general, we were the motto women to power.
I felt very honored and happy to see that the representatives made me a detail for my work as a coach,
they told me that this was a new stage for me and that I did very well, but all this was possible thanks to the hard work and effort we did all together as women committed to the delegation and with the purpose that our athletes managed to enter the podium, I really liked the team work we did and even though I was the only one who was familiar with all the rules of chess I was able to transmit and communicate to these wonderful women what we had to do, what was best for the team and thank God everything went very well.

¡Hola amigos de #hive! Saludos a todas las personas que hacen vida en la comunidad de @ladiesofhive , soy Rosmarly Chghale, soy nueva en está comunidad, este es mi primer post acá, estuve buscando una comunidad dónde poder hablar sobre el maravilloso trabajo en equipo que realice junto a un grupo de mujeres maravillosas y aquí estoy.
Soy de Venezuela, y juego ajedrez desde los 10 años de edad, actualmente tengo 25 años de edad y desde los 10 años he estado jugando ajedrez con mucha pasión y esfuerzo, el día de ayer culminó la edición XX Juegos Deportivos Nacionales Juveniles en Venezuela, donde lo mejor del deporte venezolano se dió cita para buscar estar entre los mejores, el ajedrez participó en la edición del 2011 pero en el 2013 no fue incluido por no estar en el ciclo olímpico, después de 11 años el ajedrez vuelve a estar presente en los juegos nacionales y estar presente en el ciclo olímpico.
Una nueva etapa y nuevo reto
En está oportunidad participé como entrenadora del equipo femenino, siendo la capitana de este equipo, no como atleta, tenía la esperanza que el ajedrez pudiera ser de categoria libre como en otras disciplinas pero lamentablemente quedo en la categoria juvenil sub20.
Acepté la responsibilidad y el reto, me preparé para ayudar al equipo, trabajé durante los meses previos a la competencia para ayudar a las niñas en su ajedrez y que lograrán estar entre las mejores del torneo.
Unos días antes de la competencia el entrenador del masculino se comunica conmigo y me dice que se contagió de COVID-19 y me notifica que no podrá viajar y que debería asumir el rol de entrenador del masculino y ser también la capitana, ante está noticia me puse nerviosa porque estabamos a sólo unos días y ya tenía todo el trabajo con el equipo femenino pero con el masculino estaba en cero, hice un rápido bosquejo de los equipos masculinos a enfrentar y el entrenador del masculino me comunicó que estaría en contacto conmigo por vía WhatsApp para ayudarme con los chicos.
Un plan de contingencia
El entrenador del masculino y el delegado no pudieron asistir, ante está situación tuvimos que hacer un plan de contingencia, una de las representantes asumió el rol de delegada otra de entrenador del masculino llenando esas plazas que estaban quedando vacias, son madres que no tienen idea de como jugar ajedrez ni como son las reglas y parámetros de jugar ajedrez pero son mujeres que aman y apoyan a sus hijos, ante está situación las 3 nos apoyamos mutuamente, yo les iba indicando que hacer en cada parte y por sentido común y de lógica ellas eran consciente de la logística a seguir en los juegos nacionales.
La delegada se ganó el sobrenombre de súper delegada, hizo un trabajo maravilloso, la habitación donde me quede con las niñas tenía un problema con el baño, no había agua y la súper delegada habló con un ministro de la república bolivariana de Venezuela e incluso con el presidente de la federación venezolana de ajedrez para resolver el inconveniente del baño, las niñas y yo estabamos encantadas con el trabajo de nuestra súper delegada incluso los delegados de otros estados estaban encantados con su forma de hablar y desenvolvimiento, la entenadora del masculino estaba un poco nerviosa por el trabajo que tenía que desempeñar, le dije que no se preocupara por eso que yo la ayudaría con todo, pero en el congresillo técnico nos informaron que el capitán del femenino podia ser el mismo del masculino, llamé al entrenador del masculino que no pudo viajar y me dijo que asumiera las dos capitanías, la representante se alegró de no tener que meterse en aguas desconocidas y nos apoyo con la logística para la delegación completa, el agua para la hidratación, alguna merienda para tener más energía entre otras cosas, hicimos un equipo extraordinario y muchos estados nos felicitaron por el maravillo trabajo que hicimos como equipo y mujeres unidas.
Mujeres al poder
El equipo femenino hizo un trabajo extraordinario, logramos ganar 4 medallas, 2 de plata por equipo en la modalidad clásica y blitz, y dos de bronce por tableros, el equipo masculino hizo un buen trabajo quedaron en la 4ta posición, en lineas generales cumplimos con los objetivos a pesar de todo, nos fue muy bien y cuando volvimos a casa nos reunimos a modo de celebración y el delegado que tenía que ir y por cosas de la vida no pudo asistir nos felicitó y dijo que hicimos un buen trabajo. Cada una aportó su grano de arena para ayudar al equipo en general, fuimos el lema mujeres al poder.
Me sentí muy honrada y feliz al ver que las representantes me hicieron un detalle por mi labor como entrenadora,
me dijeron que está fue una etapa nueva para mi y que lo hice muy bien, pero todo esto fue posible gracias al gran trabajo y esfuerzo que hicimos todas juntas como mujeres comprometidas con la delegación y con el propósito de que nuestros atletas lograrán entrar en el podio, me gustó mucho el trabajo en equipo que realizamos y que a pesar que solo era yo la que estaba familiarizada con todas las reglas de ajedrez pude transmitir y comunicarles a estas maravillosas mujeres lo que teníamos que hacer, que era lo mejor para el equipo y gracias a Dios todo salió muy bien.
Estoy tan contenta por el trabajo que hicimos, que encontré está comunidad y quise compartir con todos ustedes este gran trabajo en equipo de mujeres, espero les guste, gracias por leer, hasta la próxima.
