A look to the future
Greetings to all the Ladies of the Hive community. In response to the call for this contest number 162. Here I share this week's invitation post.
Two themes this week: fidelity and love, past or future. This time I will answer the first question of the contest: (2)
What would you prefer: to be able to see the future or to be able to see the past?
Many of us are attracted by the idea and curiosity to know our future. It is more disturbing to be attentive to this future to come than to ruminate on that past where we did not take advantage of life opportunities.
Opening that door to the unknown future can give us good or bad results. We may encounter things that could happen in the future but that we do not like and we would like to change them.
It is like in Aesop's(Esopo) fables, the king who, when his son is born, wants to know his future and one of the magicians predicts that he will die young from the claws of a tiger.
The king builds him a huge wooden room and locks him in it for many years. So that he wouldn't get bored, he sent him to paint and decorate with figures of wild animals. The prince grew up and in the rebellious stage of adolescence he wanted to get out of his confinement and began to hit the walls very upset.
A splinter of wood got stuck in his hand and became infected, causing his death. Although this father was told the future, he could not avoid the final result, it simply came through another path.
What would you do if you could see your future? Would you try to change something about him that you didn't like?
There is a possibility that by knowing the future you can take advantage of the good opportunities that come your way in life. You may be able to be successful through this knowledge, but the truth is that you must be smart and prepared to achieve it.
Definitely being able to see the past does not make much sense, the past is behind you and you have already lived it. It's a strange relationship between what you can see and change without affecting the whole picture.
I can indicate from my own experience that I love astrology, I always study some patterns of changes.
When my daughter was born, I noticed when making her natal chart with the help of a friend, that at one point in her life she would have a big setback, something that could change her life and that it would depend on those closest to her to help her get through it. At that moment I didn't understand what he was interpreting in his stars.
Years later, about to graduate as a civil engineer, my daughter along with 4 fellow students had a serious traffic accident. He was on the verge of missing the exams for the last semester of his degree and the presentation of his thesis.
We need money to operate it and with crutches he went to the exams that some teachers gave him with explanations, a week's time to take them. There I understood what was destined to happen and that she only depended on her parents to help her get through it. He required a lot of family support, therapies, and medical consultations for his full recovery.
Although I was the one who always went to pick her up when she stayed late to study, I couldn't do it that day.
I think that knowing the future can help us a little in that sense of coping with problems, knowing that everything will turn out well in the end and it will always depend on you to find the best path.

Dos temas esta semana: fidelidad y amor, pasado o futuro. En esta ocasión responderé a la primera pregunta del concurso: (2)
¿Qué preferirías: poder ver el futuro o poder ver el pasado?
A muchos nos atrae la idea y la curiosidad por conocer nuestro futuro. Resulta más inquietante estar atenta a este futuro por venir que estar rumiando por ese pasado donde no aprovechamos oportunidades de vida.
Abrir esa puerta hacia el futuro desconocido puede darnos buenos o malos resultados. Podemos encontrarnos con cosas que podrían pasar en el futuro pero que no nos agraden y desearíamos cambiarlas.
Es como en las fábulas de Esopo el rey que al nacer su hijo quiere conocer su futuro y uno de los magos le pronostica que morirá joven en por las garras de un tigre.
El rey le construye un enorme cuarto de madera y lo encierra en el por muchos años. Para que no se aburriera lo mando a pintar y decorar con figuras de animales salvajes. El príncipe creció y en la etapa rebelde de la adolescencia deseaba salir de su encierro y comenzó a golpear las paredes muy molesto.
Una astilla de madera se le clavo en la mano y se le infecto causándole la muerte. Aunque este padre le dijeron el futuro no pudo evitar el resultado final, simplemente llego por otro camino.
Qué harías si pudieras ver tu futuro? ¿Intentarias cambiar algo de el que no te gustara?
Existe la posibilidad que al conocer el futuro puedas aprovechar las buenas oportunidades que se te presentan en la vida. Tal vez logres ser exitoso a través de este conocimiento, pero la verdad es que debes ser inteligente y preparado para lograrlo.
Definitivamente el poder ver el pasado no tiene mucho sentido, el pasado quedo atrás y ya lo has vivido. Es una extraña relación entre lo que puedes ver y cambiar sin afectar todo el panorama.
Puedo indicar por experiencia propia que me encanta la astrología, siempre estudio algunos patrones de cambios.
Cuando nació mi hija note al hacer su carta natal con la ayuda de una amiga, que en un momento de su vida tendría un gran contratiempo, algo que le podría cambiar la vida y que dependería de sus más cercanos ayudarla a salir adelante. En ese momento no entendí lo que estaba interpretando en sus astros.
Años después a punto de graduarse de ingeniero civil, mi hija junto a 4 compañeros de estudio tuvieron un grave accidente de transito. Estuvo a punto de perder los exámenes del último semestre de la carrera y la presentación de la tesis.
Necesitamos dinero para operarla y con muletas acudió a los exámenes que algunos profesores le dieron a punta de explicaciones, una semana de plazo para presentarlos. Allí entendí lo que estaba destinado a pasar y que solo dependía de sus padres para ayudarla a salir adelante. Requirió mucho apoyo familiar, terapias, consultas médicas para su total recuperación.
Aunque yo era la que siempre iba a recogerla cuando se quedaba a estudiar hasta tarde, ese día no pude hacerlo.
Creo que saber el futuro nos puede ayudar un poco en ese sentido de sobrellevar los problemas, al saber que todo a la final va a salir bien y siempre va a depender de ti encontrar el mejor camino.

I agree with you to a point; Talking about the past; not much good could come from visiting it except to drive you nuts with the 'what ifs'! It's done and over and nothing can change it.
As for the future; it would be interesting to get an inkling perhaps. I don't think I'd like the whole picture because if it was a terrible thing that was coming, I would spend my days trying to run from it. If it were a good thing, I would be impatient to have it happen. For me, the reality is that God's got this. He has a plan which He may or may not let me in on. I'd like to hope that I'd be able to see the message He sends telling me of what might be in store, should He send me one, lol!

Sometimes we remember hard moments from the past, we repeat them in our minds over and over again and we want to change them, but we simply cannot and it would surely cause other changes and our current reality would not be the same. What a difficult decision. We simply must accept it.
Knowing everything that awaits in the future does not seem to be very good in the end, but being confident and prepared could help us a little more.

Such a concept of knowing the future may not necessarily negate outcomes as you described. I'm not knowledgeable in Temporal Mechanics but there could be the danger of making things worse should we try to alter the outcome. 🕔 Better to leave things in God's hands.
With so many movies we've seen trying to change the future and never ending very well. I also don't like knowing everything completely, there would be no surprises in life and life always surprises us with good things.

@sacra97 me gustó mucho esta entrada, sobre futuro o pasado, es cierto que el pasado ya pasó, y parece que es poco importante. Sin embargo, si no somos capaces de mirarlo a la cara nos sigue persiguiendo como una sombra, sin ser visto, al menos eso creo. Decía Freud que había que hacer consciente lo inconsciente. Me emocionó todo lo referente al acompañamiento a tu hija en un momento crítico de su vida. Sobre el futuro, yo particularmente no quiero saberlo, no está escrito, lo vamos escribiendo cada segundo que pasa. Un saludo muy grande
Muy de acuerdo el pasado ya paso y sin embargo muchas veces ciertas entradas de ese pasado nos atormentan y queremos cambiarlas, eso si es verdad, pero ¿por qué atormentarse por algo que no podemos cambiar? simplemente lo deseamos.
Muchos de mis escritos vienen de experiencias propias de contar historias de vida, porque es lo que más se. Me tocó afrontar esa dificultad y aunque en el momento no supe que era algo que ya estaba en la linea del tiempo, la diferencia era como logrará afrontarlo.

Así es yo también me sorprendí con lo que le sucedió a mi hija, al principio no me di cuenta no relacione el suceso con el resultado final. Uno nunca sabe como va actuar, tampoco quise saber más detalles del suceso, solo tenia en la mente que todo saldría bien. La fabula de Esopo me encantan son esas historias con moraleja que te ponen ejemplos sencillos.
