Help Ladies of Hive, I feel I want to change my profile on hive because there are so many Hivers that think I am a "bro." ππ€£
Hive is the first time in my life so many people called me man and bro. I am not angry with them but they are make me very laugh and wonder ππ€£.

These are some evidences but I think there are more people called me man than this.

I want to make this post a long time ago but I stop do it, but every weekend there is some human called me like that a lot.

I even tell my husband, there are people reply comment called me bro again. I asked him why they are called me bro and man? You look my face, am I really like man? He laugh at me and tell me he donβt know why.

My husband laugh a lot and he also called me "bro" now, but he just joking with me π. This made me want to post about that.
What do you think about that? My face really looks like a man or not? Please you tell me #LadiesOfHive.

Hahaha, I had to laugh so hard! This reminds me of a time back when I was at university (around 2000). My girlfriend at that time shared an apartment with three other girls, all of them very close friends, and among themselves they usually called each other "dude".
man, bro, bud(dy), homie, etc. or even mate among Australians.@justinparke will probably agree that at that time this word was very common for young men to call each other. Originally it was a word country people used to call a person from the city, but in practice it soon became an expression kinda like
I'm sure my girlfriend's housemates didn't use dude by mistake. Instead, it was an ironic response to how almost every guy around them made very heavy use of this word. Still, hearing the girls engaged in a lively chatter, saying dude in almost every sentence just like guy would, it made me laugh. I still have to laugh remembering it.
But I can imagine that in your case you would get tired of being seen as a man. So for your profile pic, I like the last one, with the flower garland in your hair.
Oh, thank you very my friend for your commentππ». Have a wonderful day.
Very true, and now in the USA it's common for a group of all females to say bye to another group of all females by saying "See you later guys!" This has always puzzled me, and I'm from the USA.
From my point of view, people that can combine their feminine side with their masculine one are the most attractive! I, myself, got called a boy in real life but I take that as a compliment because I am a woman and I can do both man and woman looks. Let alone this subject, the world is full of stereotypes, and people tend to label things and persons too easily. But, after all, it shouldn't matter what people are saying about us because we know who we are ππΊ
This is such a funny post, I have been waiting so long for you to finish it. Classic! This one really shows your sense of humor. Have a !BEER

Haha, made me laugh before off to bed, okay, if you are to ask me which picture, your picture in the water is stunning. You see, you got flowers in your hair, that makes you water fairy. π
Oh thank you my dear for your lovely comment! I appreciate the kind words.
Take the picture with the yellow flower.
Have a Nice day Bro πππ
Haha thank you very much for stopping by π
Dear srey you are not alone and I know you are a beautiful woman wife and mum but I really like the photo with the flowers in your hair
Many thanks beautiful woman for the kind wordsπ
The same thing happens to me, too, even with the name "TheKittyGIRL" π
I actually had a guy ask me why I was here on the blockchain, because crypto was for men, not women. π³ So, maybe the 'Bro' comes from that type of thinking. π
The pic with the flowers in your hair is gorgeous! Love it! π
Oh really? I understand but why have some people think like that? Thank you very much @thekittygirl for the comment and visit my post.
The millennials call their girlfriends βbroβ here.
Oh really? Thank you for the comment.
Have a nice day!
Many thanks for the support!
π It's the (old) pic...all the new pics look female and "not bro" π
Hehe, yes I think so! Thank you very much.
You're welcome π
I don't really think your current picture looks like a guy; I think it's more the stance of the photo that might make people assume that. The picture with the pink flowers in your hair looks great!
I also have to laugh at one comment about the girls calling each other 'dude', because that does happen.
Anyway, you are beautiful the way you are! Take care!π
Hi @elizabethbit thank you very much for the kind words π take care and have a wonderful day!
π
Two issues here. One is that men assume everyone in the internet is a man...maybe statistically there are more men in chat rooms? And second is that your picture isnβt super clear. Your βmomβ picture is much more obvious! Donβt worry, you donβt look like a man!
Hello @whatamidoing I agree with you! Thank you very much for the comment and visit my post. Have a wonderful day!
You look very feminine to me but you also look extremely young so with your hair back, it may confuse some people that don't read posts all the way through.
You look very pretty so don't worry about these mistakes. I get called bro sometimes at work right to my face. It doesn't bother me.
Hi my friend @carolynstahl I donβt care about that I just want to share with you all because I think itβs so fun. Thank you very for the comment. Have a nice day!
You are beautiful!
Thank you very much βΊοΈ
Lol! I get that all over Discord, It's a Bro's world unless otherwise regardless of Avatar picture I use. Even a few gals I got to know on Discord sling that around but I just take it in stride.
At least we now have our 'Ladies of Hive' Space and I wouldn't be surprised if that continues here.
Thanks for sharing Sis, @srepov β€οΈ
Hi @kerrislravenhill thank you very much for the support. Have a nice day!
WOOOW i totally feel you!!!! A lot of people tells me that because of my username!!
And the funniest thing is that when they hear my voice (which by the way i have a super feminine, high-pitched, almost childlike voice) they are totally surprised Β¨ Oh and tripod is a woman Β¨? hahahahah so sad.
Oh I think itβs similar for so many people think like that. Thank you very much for the comment.
Always my pleasure.
lol, its more a common thing to do as they are used to it rather than thinking you're a bro I think :) I've also noticed it several times that people throw "bro" in every sentence .. even when they are clearly woman.. dont take it personally :)
I agree with you! Thank you very much π. Have a wonderful weekend!
same to you!
hahaha I loved reading your post, obviously in your profile picture there is no doubt that you are a woman, I would not particularly change it, but if you want to do it, I like the second photo, the one that appears next to a sunflower!
I am a woman, and because of my name in hive everyone believe that I am a man, I usually put photos of my drawings and all usually respond to me like this too XD at first clarified in each message that I am a woman, but I reached a point where I thought: what really matters is what the people think of my drawings ... and I calmed down with that XD but I know how it feels
Hi @itachi24j nice to meet you here and you very much for your comment. Have a nice weekend π
Hey there @Sreypov, I am so glad that you made it here! π
I don't think that you look like a guy at all, I think that people see you as a guy in that photo because of the heavy jacket more than anything.
I got called bro here a few times too- mainly because I have a photo of my old cat Chad instead of me, but I still think that chocolatescorpi does NOT sound like a guys name either....but anyhow...bro, guy, dude, champ, mate, bud, buddy, pal- they're just a name, they don't define you and just think, people could call you much worse...
But if it makes you feel weird, annoyed or uncomfortable at all, then fair enough, change it if you want- it's all entirely up to you- whatever makes you feel happy- not them, or anyone else (well maybe your kids and @justinparke.lol..π...) but in reality, you are a naturally beautiful and gifted, compassionate woman and it's as simple as that.
And out of those photos, my favourite is the Sunfower, cause sunflowers are so happy and fresh- like you.
So glad that you made it here! π
Hi @chocolatescorpi, I just want to make this post because I think itβs fun and have the same people called me bro, itβs a good memory. Thank you very much for your kind words π. Have a wonderful day!!!
No thank you for being so happy, sunny, fresh and stunning like the sunflower!!! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
And like I said, there are much worse things that you can be called- like boring! π€£Being called boring offends me more than a swear word! π€£ (And Australians like to swear- a lot...)
Stay awesome @Sreypov! π
I get called the same too until well.. I decided to change my profile picture and I am not a "bro".
I think here have so many people like to call humans bro just look at pictures or they think have so many men than more women. Thank you so much for your comments.
