For BC Canada, I recall for an Approved Driving Lesson package is $2000 CAD, Driving Exam $45CAD, Car Insurance minimum of $2500/year, License fee and registration $80 renew every 5 years, and gas at $6CAD/US GAl or $2.17 CAD/liter. Parking free ....if you can find any.
!LOL
wooow, your prices are even more crazy:) it's NOT cheap to be a driver! an average salary in your city?
here it's about 600-700$, in big cities it's 2-3 times more
The median household income before taxes in Vancouver is approximately $90,000 CAD as of 2025. A household can have more than one wage earner. The cost of living is very high here. The taxes are high. The Car insurance is a monopoly run by the provincial government. My post retirement fixed income is $47,000 CAD which is good for a person in my position but that took a lot of planning and resources to achieve. My home is mortgage free.
