Hello Hive community, I’m a newbie here, all thanks to @samostically for encouraging me to join this wonderful community. I’m an extrovert but I have crazy anxiety when it comes to putting out anything on social media. Still wondering why, hopefully this community helps me grow and come out of my shell. And I believe joining this community and even making this post is a great step to killing anxiety.
ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Testimony, i studied Theatre and Films Studies in College. I’m currently doing my one year service (National Youth Service Corps). The service year started in July 2025 and would be ending this year. It’s been a bitter-sweet experience I must say. But the good news is that, I love adventures so I’m probably enjoying this journey. On bad days, I regret starting the journey, I guess we usually feel this way once we are uncomfortable with our decisions.
I enjoy seeing movies, and I make good recommendations and reviews too. I once recommended a movie to a friend and she always asks for recommendations after that day. Some days when we are bored, we review movies we’ve seen before and that alone makes my day. I used to prefer just comedy genre until one time in my 2nd year in college, we had an assignment to see at least 4 genres of films and review them including the continuity errors in each films. That assignment made me enjoy the beauty of variety and that birthed my love for movies and even taught me how to make reviews.

I enjoy cooking as well. Before now, my to-do list had learning new recipe; either for same type of food or different types of food every week. That’s how much I enjoy cooking.
Although, I’m not a workaholic but I love the idea of work to the point that I get depressed when I’m idle. I just want to do something. This made me learn some skills like sewing, hair dressing, basic video editing and even took trainings on Customer service management, virtual assistance and Human resource management. And I’m looking forward to learning about cryptocurrency in this community.
The fact that I hate being idle made me start a business while in school. I sold lingeries, cooked and sold food, and currently I’ve ventured into the food business fully even while serving. I sell rice in wholesale within Nigeria, I also help people shop other foodstuffs in large quantities.

One of the things I find therapeutic is hearing or reading people’s thoughts on social media. I can just go on a particular post about a topic and read the comments; to see how people think and see if anyone thinks like me (I know I’m not in this boat alone lol). I sometimes comment, but majority of the time, I end up reading comments. I don’t get bored of that, trust me.
In conclusion, in as much as I had anxiety typing this, I’m glad I’m here and i look forward to meeting creative people here in the corporate space, food space and movie lovers like me. I also look forward to sharing my ideas on business, movies, trending topics, and to learn about Hive overtime.
