Look at these wasps we have at my workplace. They've been there for years, and we haven't been able to get rid of their nest, not even the firefighters. They always come back.

I think its bees... is the column warm? If it is there might be gallons of honey inside.

You should call a professional bee removers. They can safely transport the colony to a better location.
