We used to live near the beach, but our house got flooded last November, so we moved to the countryside. We live on a mountain, but the beach is just 10 minutes away by motorcycle. 😁
That's pretty close. We also get flooded, not horribly, but it can get close to damaging cars and houses.

Look at these wasps we have at my workplace. They've been there for years, and we haven't been able to get rid of their nest, not even the firefighters. They always come back.
I think its bees... is the column warm? If it is there might be gallons of honey inside.
I don't know, I also think they're bees; they've attacked us twice, in fact, a child fractured his knee during an attack.

Its a whole ecosystem that theives there.
This one of the great things about living in BC. It has many natural spaces easily accessible.
I can hardly imagine having so much nature to explore. BC alone is about 8 times bigger than the country where I live now, and I have seen only about 3% of it.
There are a lot of mountains here, and a lot of great trails throughout the region. One has to take precautions against wild animals and rugged terrain, but the sights are unreal.
oh yeah i forgot, you must have grizzlies and wolves, no?
The grizzlies are scary, though I haven't come across one. I saw a large black bear while hiking around a lake. That's when I realized I could never wrestle a bear and win, like I used to foolishly believe. 🐻
