tell me how and won't it affect my device/internet?

No, it shouldn't affect anything. DNS resolver gets better... If this doesn't help you can always revert the setting.

To change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 on Android, use Private DNS for all networks (Android 9+) via Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS > "dns.google", or change Wi-Fi settings manually by setting IP settings to "Static" and entering 8.8.8.8.
Private DNS (Best for Android 9+)
This method changes DNS for both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Go to Settings.
Tap Network & internet (or "Connections").
Select Private DNS.
Choose Private DNS provider hostname.
Type: dns.google (or 8.8.8.8 depending on phone model).
Tap Save.
Restart Ecency app...

I just changed my DNS to dns.google but it says couldn't connect.

Can you open alpha.ecency.com from same device and see if images load? We added some error reporting in code, we will get some reports about images not loading and hopefully we can investigate more.

It works using the Hive image server but not the default one

Can you please open incognito window on your browser and visit https://alpha.ecency.com and see if any image loads without changing image server to images.hive.blog ?

We pushed some improvement, hoping it will solve the problem.

Hi, still waiting for your test on alpha.ecency.com, if you could try in incognito browser tab to see if images start to load, we would be able to push update to main website so all other users from Philippines could enjoy Ecency experience and same improvement we could push to our mobile app, if our changes or theoretical solution work.
