Have to find a way to spread Hive among common folk.
Created several profiles that are never used after a few isolated posts. Most people don't tell me the reason they abandoned Hive(maybe because they know how passionate I am about it) but I think is the initial low returns.
What is your pitch? Do you focus on the earnings part? I almost never mention that, just in the end, when they're already on board for the social media potential that Hive has.
I actually focus more on the "own your content" part, but always mention that every comment there can earn a couple cents if it gets attention.
But I think it's more about the lack of Portuguese content and the difficulties of managing their own keys.
Yes, the keys and the RC are usually the problem with me. I have them install Keychain in front of me, then pay for their account and directly delegate 50B RC to them. The only problem there was to get the keys from the cellphone to the browser, which I will ask the developers..
I put my promoter account with owning authority over every account I create because is very easy to common users to lose their keys.
When they are mature enough to know how to administrate their own keys they can use tools such as PeakD to remove owning authority.
Most times this newbies need constant motivation. Hive is not a rich quick scheme so they need to have the right motive and understand that hard work pays.
The main reason I stayed here in 2018(before Hive) was due to the blockchain nature of this network, which allowed for monetization of every publication without fear of a central authority cutting it all off. Community votes using their shares and that is final for payouts.
I was aware that if I get a couple cents per publication would be a lot, but at the time I couldn't even see how to cash out my gains, so my objective was just to accumulate Hive(then Steem) Power to increase my influence here.
Oooh, okay. I hope you achieved your goal. There are different support systems now onboard for newbies.
Woahhh, that means you've been here for about 7 years? Incredible.... I'm still premature
