Well, people still click on things for a reason... they are going for every few cents...

For me, using keys as a first approach for dummies, has to end. If people don't easily have access to their keys, these problems will occur less often.

Sort:

I don't know how keys will make it easier... to loose funds. Basically people will send their money anyway they can do it, with or without keys.

When someone asks for a private key, if you have to go through a couple of steps that warn the user and make it a little bit harder. Maybe some might just "halfway" stop and "think twice".

Right but picture having to pull out your private key everytime you perform a simple transaction? I am not sure how the spam behaved, but the one I know which is a pool, you need to send your hive to that pool. Some don't even need to use a Hive app, they do it straight from Binance. This is a post from the Hive Telegram group with people crying about their exited funds. No keys were used to perform this scam.

That too, and those are much harder because you sort of have to teach people to go trustless.

Although my first level of awareness was actually the stealing of keys, because people provide them.

Maybe some imagery would help... 🤷‍♂️
