There's always the possibility I'll find other people who share the same interests and are also active.
Maybe I'll just set up some communities and post to those an wait for everyone else to arrive xD

Haha true... Hive has its gems, just takes some exploring.
Yeah, it unfortunate that I don't find travel posts or most slice of life posts interesting which is what a fair chunk of content is atm. In some communities specific to interests but they are pretty dead atm.
You just need to be intentionally and explore more. You will discover interesting things.
Unfortunately most of my interest groups are either none existent on hive or very inactive, at least for now.
A lot of what I do see on hive at the moment doesn't interest me.
