Artwork through the mesh. I took this through mesh screening in the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. The art piece is a tribute to the old lumber mills that used to be here.

I think I've already said here how much I like history and things that have an incredible past and are rich in information. I can only imagine how much these sawmills contributed to the development of this city.
Logging was definitely what built this city. Luckily the economy has adapted and now tourism and outdoor sports are major draws.
The Old Mill District is now retail space with lots of walking paths along with an amphitheater that draws major acts.
It's really cool to know that, even though it's no longer in operation, it's a good place to attract tourism to the city.
I confess that I didn't know much about Oregon, but thanks to you I'm getting to know this state a little better.
