Momma & baby quails touring through my yard. Had to stop the #video short as they were about to go under the fence to where my cat was soaking up some sun. After a distress call from the mom and me getting the cat inside, the family continued foraging through the neighborhood.

There's so many of them. I didn't know they were this tiny, but it makes sense. They're not big birds.
They must mature quickly and get on the move. Seems like they are pretty small to be scurrying around like that. :)

That makes sense. I learned quail are poultry so there would be some similarities.
Woo, she got lot of babies, they look beautiful. Thank goodness your cat didn't get to play with them😅
They moved around so quick I never really was able to get an accurate count of how many there were. Six maybe? 🤷♂
The cat is a little older and slower but not sure she could resist going after those scurrying little birds. :)
Woo, that means she has been with you for a while now? The oldest pet I ever had lived with us for 7 years ( a dog) before passing away.
I think it's more than six, it's around eight.
She's about 9 or 10 and not quite as active as she use to be.
You are probably right. I haven't slowed down the footage to try and count them. Counting them live I could never tell if I had counted the same one twice. lol
Woo, 10 years old, yeah she's really old.
They kind of move fast tho.
