Momma & baby quails touring through my yard. Had to stop the #video short as they were about to go under the fence to where my cat was soaking up some sun. After a distress call from the mom and me getting the cat inside, the family continued foraging through the neighborhood.
There's so many of them. I didn't know they were this tiny, but it makes sense. They're not big birds.
They must mature quickly and get on the move. Seems like they are pretty small to be scurrying around like that. :)
Aw adorable! Reminds me of my baby chicks walking with their momma 😍
That makes sense. I learned quail are poultry so there would be some similarities.
Woo, she got lot of babies, they look beautiful. Thank goodness your cat didn't get to play with them😅
They moved around so quick I never really was able to get an accurate count of how many there were. Six maybe? 🤷♂
The cat is a little older and slower but not sure she could resist going after those scurrying little birds. :)
Woo, that means she has been with you for a while now? The oldest pet I ever had lived with us for 7 years ( a dog) before passing away.
I think it's more than six, it's around eight.
She's about 9 or 10 and not quite as active as she use to be.
You are probably right. I haven't slowed down the footage to try and count them. Counting them live I could never tell if I had counted the same one twice. lol
Woo, 10 years old, yeah she's really old.
They kind of move fast tho.
After the commercialization, there is also corruption during this word cup football. Keep politics away from football! What a shame FIFA!

That's not a fair move.

It's not a countable noun in British English as far as I'm aware, but apparently it is in colloquial American English. It has even found its way into the Oxford English Dictionary in that form "also in plural" - and with an alternative spelling that we should keep in mind for future HiveWords... 😆:

Good early morning hive🤗😍
It's going to be a long day for me today. I have a couple of appointments in Shreveport today. They'll take most of the day.🤦 Doug will watch Micah for me.❤️
You seem to be up very early. I can see the sky still looking a bit dark. I like the blue sky also. Wish you a wonderful day, even though it'll be long one.
Yes. I actually got up at 4 but didn't take the picture until around 5:45 so it's still early. Thank you. 🤗 I hope you have he a wonderful day too🤗
Okay. Well done.
Thank you. 🙂

The one dollar Hive?
Good question.
Value and utility are the key.
We must improve both and one seems to follow the other.
I remember once.
Di you remember when this was?
I'm not sure, but maybe 2021.
That sounds about right.
Love it @ 0.05cents
Not a bad thing.
This is brutally true.

Yeah, I think so too. Sadly...
At first I wasn't sure if waking up early to watch the game was gonna be worth it, the last 5 minutes changed my mind.
It is a high caliber game
Now you know. 😅

And I am victim of the first thought :)

A hard one for Brazil.

Watched the one with mbappe 😂
Liked Vinícius Júnior's performance in this world cup. He has insane level of speed.
He takes the responsibility and says sorry to the Brazil fans.

It's a shame the need for a generational change has come about this way. They'll have four long years to regroup and start a new team. Best regards.

Sadly
Satirical website Speld had a great post again:
Infantino to Referee USA–Belgium Match Himself
"FIFA strives to organize the fairest possible tournament. So I will personally make absolutely sure that the United States beats Belgium as fairly as possible." 😂
ha... you got a link to it?
https://speld.nl/2026/07/06/infantino-gaat-zelf-vs-belgie-maar-fluiten/
Wat een enorme grap is dit allemaal … maar hé, misschien wil Sepp Blatter wel als grensrechter meespelen. Dat zou grappig zijn en in ieder geval zo eerlijk als maar kan.
😀
Is that translated or do you really speak Dutch?
I kinda cheat... though i used to understand quite a bit, since my best mate at school was dutch. >smirk<
(but that was like 40 years ago...)

If you are having issues with my API nodes, atexoras.com domain... this is why. I suspect because of (or related to) the upcoming Sydney maintenance. Which is tomorrow morning... (my time).
But if you have IPv6, you might not even notice.
If you could arrange a business trip for us all to Sydney, we'll be able to handle server maintenance much faster, as the interested party :)

Massive win against the Brazilians
I bet for Norway 🇳🇴, so I had two reasons for celebrating today. 😆
Pardon me,are you Norwegian?
No, I’m Spanish. 🇪🇸 Watching the game against Portugal right now.
Oh! I see, I want the Spaniards to go through. I admire their possessive kind of football ⚽. Besides, I am a fan of Real Madrid. Good luck 🤞
I prefer FC Barcelona. 🤣 Both teams are strong and either of the two can win. I hope we can get it, thank you! 🙏
With the viking row. Haha.
😁 it’s perfect to celebrate.
Oh yes. 😀
Hooo! Hooooo!
Now I understand why some football teams lose... they don't get oars :)

Well, at least you have seen a butterfly too!
Have seen many, that's just the only one I caught on camera 😂

Indeed! I don't spot a lot of butterflies in my backyard anymore.
It's nice, happy start to the week.

I still find it weird seeing trams in my hometown of Edinburgh 🏴
Good morning Hive
I couldn't wait to visit Edinburgh
Full of tourists now and the place has changed enormously over the years since I was a kid.
Looks good! Would have been useful during New Year when I was 22. Probably due another visit! 😂
!BBH
Oh they are handy, and I know you would see a fair amount of change since you were 22!
Overcast skies were blocking the normal postion where i see the #sunrise this morning. The colors still made an appearance though through a gap in the clouds a little more south and west of normal.
#photography
Beautiful scenery.
Not too bad for looking out my garage door. :)
Anyway, it's not the last one you'll see I guess.
I hope not. 😉
Today's Hiveword is "hard" and is not used like this in British English as far as I am aware, although I haven't lived in the UK for a long time so it may have crept into use in recent years...

A neighbour trap caught this alligator this morning.
What a beautiful creature. It looks like a type of monitor lizard. Will the trapper use it for something?
I saw them cooking it this evening.
I didn't know they were edible, but it makes sense given that other lizards like iguanas are also edible.
It's so big, what the neighbor gonna use it for?
They've already cooked it. Lol
Looks more a species of giant lisard.
I don't even know. But it family of lizards.
Oh the pookie face 💀
It's so scarry.
Take care of yourself
Thanks, I really appreciate.

Very much what I would expect after first two episodes full of action and dragons.....tons of drama and cracks start to open at the Red Keep, very very like GOT

You can't live just for the dragons, haha!
Things will get worse before they get better. This is the time when dragons died. 😀
If you think it makes sense to support new users, HiveSuite has a feature that helps you identify them. It’s the only front-end with this feature.
Just go to https://hivesuite.app/dashboard/hive-joiners
There are two search options: through the XYZ integration project and the introduceyourself hashtag
Hivesuite is like encyclopedia having everything and it's light and smooth.
Without a doubt.
Thank you for the Bee.
