When one comes back home, in the far north of Europe, after being away for 6 weeks. It is tough to fall asleep when it is light - day and night. There is no darkness at all until winter.

You are right. Middle of winter there is no day light… we just have 2 hours of twilight here.
It is truly dark. No lights from anything. First town is 1 hour drive away.
Better to visit the town during twilight hours hehe.
I probably wouldn't mind the darkness if it's not overbearing, could catch up on some sleep too :)

This is one of my biggest curiosities. Experiencing a clear night, something that is not common in my country. It must be interesting for a tourist to spend days without seeing the night.
I only experienced it last year when I moved to here. It took me a long time to adjust… now being away for a while I guess the same.
It will be fun for tourists… do think as we have no darkness in the summer there is no light in the winter. Maybe an hour or 2 only. A kind of twilight.

Haha I know. I am struggling with it since we moved here last year. You don’t get tired but your body is exhausted… In the winter it is the opposite here. No light… just a twilight for 2 hours. That is the worse thing for me. The long darkness.
After I will move later this year I will be back to 4 seasons. It will be easier on my body clock for sure.
