Many leaders live under the pressure of imposing their authority based on their titles and demanding unquestioned results, even when it might seem constructive. However, they fail to realize that this way of leading is exhausting and, in the long run, breaks trust and damages the healthy culture of their team.
Muchos líderes viven con la presión de imponer su autoridad con base en sus títulos y de demandar resultados sin cuestionamiento alguno, aunque a veces parezca constructivo. On the other hand, there is a different path: leading by permission. When a leader focuses first on connecting with people, something powerful emerges: loyalty. As John Maxwell teaches, people first accept you as a person, and then they accept you as a leader.

That is the first great advantage of leading by permission. The trust that grows out of healthy workplace relationships becomes a solid foundation for everyone involved in the project. People feel heard, valued, and supported. Then, and only then, will they be willing to follow and work with conviction, not out of obligation.
