You are a productive person, and from the outside your results look good. You deliver and meet the expectations of those around you. But if you are honest, your thinking feels duller than it used to, as if your mind has slowly lost its creative mojo.
Eres una persona productiva, y desde afuera tus resultados se ven bien. Cumples y estás a la altura de lo que esperan quienes te rodean. Pero si eres honesto, sientes que tu forma de pensar ya no tiene el mismo filo, como si tu mente poco a poco hubiera perdido su chispa creativa.
The thing is, when we focus on how well we are performing, the mind stops exploring, and a mind that stops exploring stops discovering anything new. If we treat our minds like machines meant only for production and stop being curious, asking questions, and exploring new territories, eventually we'll stop growing.
La cosa es que, cuando nos enfocamos en qué tan bien estamos rindiendo, la mente deja de explorar, y una mente que deja de explorar deja de descubrir cosas nuevas. Si tratamos a nuestra mente como una máquina hecha solo para producir y dejamos de ser curiosos, de hacer preguntas y de explorar territorios nuevos, tarde o temprano vamos a dejar de crecer.
So here is my question for you today, are you treating your mind like a production machine, or like an explorer still discovering new territory?

That bit about treating the mind like a machine really hits home. I definitely catch myself slipping into pure output mode sometimes and forgetting to just wander and be curious about random things.
Yeah, I hear you @rebet! I get caught in the business of life and focused on producing. That being said, I'm trying to learn and practice how to take a break to reset and stay healthy.
