What Happens Now
Now that we're in the second sales tranche, each token now costs 2 HIVE to purchase. All HIVE is then powered up, so expect the HP for the @nectarbytes account to grow at a faster pace!
What This Means
- For early adopters, your tokens have doubled in value!
The token value will double again after the second sales tranche runs out!
- For delegators, your ELIXIR payments increase!
The delegation payments are based on 50% of the ELIXIR market value. That means for every 1 HP earned in curation, delegators will now be paid 1 ELIXIR. If you don't want to pay 2 HIVE per ELIXIR, delegating is a great way to earn the token!

Are all Elixir tokens backed by a guarantee, so people who buy a lot of tokens can get out of them if needed?
At this point there's not a buyback program in place since the project is so new. I'm considering it for the long-term future.

The interesting part about ELIXIR isn’t simply that the price moved from 1 HIVE to 2 HIVE — it’s what happens after the early excitement fades.
A growing token is easy to celebrate, but the real test is whether demand can keep growing when the price keeps increasing. The staking + HIVE dividend model definitely gives ELIXIR something more tangible than pure speculation, but I’m curious: will people keep buying because they believe in the ecosystem, or mainly because they expect the next tranche to be more expensive?
That distinction could be what separates temporary hype from sustainable growth.

I wouldn't be surprised if token sales slow down as people choose to delegate instead. Eventually the tokens through delegation stop and the only thing left are tokens through sales. By then the account will have grown its staked HP considerably, so the main draw will be dividends.
Longer-term I'm entertaining a buyback and liquidity pool.

My rough estimate would be you'd need to delegate about 500-600 HP to earn 1 ELIXIR per week. That can also change as people increase or decrease their delegation amount.

Are you familiar with how to buy tokens through Tribaldex or Hive-Engine?
I made an offer and I don't know what happened
So the offers only work if someone is willing to sell for that price. Those could take time to get filled or may never happen if nobody is willing to sell that low.
If you're looking to buy them now rather than wait, you'd click on the price of 2 HIVE each and put in a buy order for that.
