Hello to all the Hive users👋. First of all I want to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to express and introduce myself.
My name is Shekinah David but I go by @debbiediamond28 here because many of my friends are fond of calling me Debbie diamond.
I would be 17 years in August. I live with my parents and siblings in ogun state, Nigeria. I am a Christian. I am grateful to God that I have a complete family which includes my mom and dad with my three siblings (two girls and one boy).
My elder sister is almost through with her university level while I Am currently in my first year in university of Ibadan. My younger sister is currently preparing for her SSCE while my little bro is in JSS 3.
My parents own a school which I am very proud of because that was the school I attended right from when I was a baby till I finished primary school. My parents really put a lot of effort into my education.
As far as I can remember my dad always worked on improving my vocabulary starting by using the popular queen Primer then. He taught me to be confident in myself in whatever I do. He made sure I learnt how to read and write which is one of the reasons I love reading and writing. I will forever be grateful to my parents for the efforts they put into my education.
When I was in secondary school I was in the department of arts.
MY HOBBIES
I have a lot of hobbies and talents which my parents noticed right since I was little.
I love crafting and DIY projects. I also love designing and drawing for fun. My grandma thought me how to make beaded things like bags, beaded vases, bracelets, necklaces, etc the funny thing was that she actually thought all her grand children but I was the only one really interested in learning it😂 so she gave me a lot of beads to practice on my own, she's such a darling 😘.
I am also a photographer, I love taking pictures.
I also love writing. I and my siblings write novels and read it to each other, I also write scripts that I would love to make into movies someday. The same way I love writing is the same way I also love reading a lot.
(That's why I'm excited that hive has a lot of communities that can help me improve in these things).
I also like listening to music like BTS!!!
MY LIKES AND DISLIKES
My favorite colours are purple, pink and black.
I don't really have a favorite food, I'm okay with whatever my mom makes because my mom is a really great cook😍.
I don't like noisy areas.
I love observing nature.
HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT THE HIVE PLATFORM
My mum @ngwinndave was the one who introduced me to the Hive Blockchain since she knows I love writing. She introduced me here so I can improve in my writing.
I hope I am welcome to the Hive family. I am very open and humble to receive correction.

I love the idea of you and your siblings writing down stories to then tell each other. I wish I had done something similar as a youngster. It means you must have a wonderful imagination and a good writing practice. Please do share your writing here regularly. We would love to be part of your writing journey.
When I joined Hive actively about 2-3 months ago the community here, including your mom, were so kind to me and helped me start the journey into blogging in Hive with a lot of support and kindness. Now I am happy to be part of the community welcoming you to our merry bunch. We hope you enjoy your time here.
