I shot this image while I was going down a busy street with my kid.
We both wore masks because we were apprehensive, not terrified.
Holding my child near made me remember how love and duty grow.
Even when things are wild and loud outside, a parent learns to be calm and focused. His eyes looked all over the world with hope and trust.
It is my aim that I should keep his health, dreams, and innocence safe at that time.
As a mother I teach myself to be patient, strong, and brave. We keep going even if we wear masks because our bond is stronger than any anxiety.
