❤️ A new, energetic start to the home restoration mission after the floods recede.🏡
🙏 ## Hello, my lovely friends.
The early morning of December 3, 2025, marks not just the beginning of a new day according to the calendar, but also the beginning of a new chapter in life. After the severe flooding crisis has completely subsided, the crucial challenge ahead is the restoration and cleaning of our "home," our haven, to return it to a clean, safe, and livable state as quickly as possible. With the water level now receding to a safe level, we are now using our physical, mental, and spiritual strength to begin this bright morning's journey of restoration.

🧹 A physical space-clearing mission for a clean and safe home. On a clear morning, we embarked on our planned work, which required vigilance, physical strength, and determination. Every square meter we touched was a way to bring life back to normal.

🏡 Recovering the interior space by removing mud and disinfecting the surfaces, the first step is to bring back items that were previously stored up high and start organizing everything again. But first, we must urgently "clear" all surfaces of mud and dirt brought with the water. Rapidly removing mud and germs is crucial, especially for dealing with invisible mold and germs that can have long-term health consequences.
For disinfection measures, we use a mixture of bleach and water to wipe and disinfect areas where mold is found and wet surfaces. We also use alcohol to wipe down high-risk areas. Most importantly, we wear protective equipment, rubber gloves, and boots to protect ourselves from germs and hazardous chemicals.

Sorting and Sun-Drying We carefully inspect flooded appliances and items to identify those that can be cleaned, repaired, and dried in the sun to sterilize them completely. Sunlight is a powerful natural disinfectant. Any parts that are beyond repair or pose a risk of becoming a breeding ground for germs and moisture must be discarded for the good hygiene of everyone in the family.

🌳 Caring for outdoor areas and pets, comprehensive cleanliness. Pet shelter cleaning activities that we cannot neglect are our beloved pet cages (🦜/🐢) which are wet and full of mud. Urgently cleaning the cage, washing and disinfecting with animal-safe disinfectants will help prevent health problems and water-borne diseases very well.

Clear out trash and waste. Deal with debris, branches, and other waste that has been washed away by the water, including organizing equipment that has been placed outside the house in an orderly manner. This will make the area around the house clean again and free of hiding places for poisonous animals that often escape the water and hide in various corners.
🍽️ Recharge your body and mind with a warm breakfast amidst a demanding mission. No matter how difficult and long the home restoration mission is, we don't forget to reward ourselves and recharge ourselves for the work ahead. A simple yet meaningful breakfast is a crucial time to relax and gather our spirits.
Taking a break, sipping coffee or a hot beverage, and eating familiar foods like steamed buns and energy-boosting snacks replenishes the energy lost from hard work. This is important for the body to function continuously and efficiently. Focusing on your meal for even a moment helps the mind relax and greatly reduce stress. It recharges your energy and prepares you to fight the mud again.

After recharging our bodies and minds, it was time to get back to cleaning. Seeing the progress we've made in cleaning and organizing little by little is a positive sign of returning to normalcy. Although I felt incredibly tired cleaning the house this time, it was dirty, covered in mud, sludge, and the stench from the floodwaters still lingering in the backyard. I've talked and shared my feelings with my husband.
But within the exhaustion, there's also a sense of freshness and hope. Every square meter that's cleaner, every piece that's put back in place, is a small success that motivates and encourages us to continue restoring our home to a warm and safe haven once again. Staying focused on the task at hand helps us not feel overwhelmed by all the problems at once, but instead, we can tackle them one step at a time.
I'd like to offer my support to everyone currently facing the task of restoring our homes after the floods recede. I hope your homes return to being clean and livable as soon as possible. We will overcome this crisis together, strong and healthy.
