🌿 Welcoming 2026 with Simple Joys: When "Caring" is the Best Gift of the Day
Happy New Year to all my lovely friends!
May this year be filled with smiles in everyone's hearts, may all your wishes come true, and may you enjoy good health throughout the year. On this first morning of the new year, I started my day with a busy homemaker mission! My daughter and I quickly got dressed, grabbed the keys to our trusty motorbike, and rode out into the cool breeze to go to the market together. But then something exciting happened! As soon as we arrived at the market, I couldn't find my phone in my bag. My heart skipped a beat; I was afraid I'd lost it along the way. Luckily, my little daughter had it with her, so she quickly called her father at home. He told me that Mom had left it on the table inside the house!
Despite being a little forgetful and having limited cash because we didn't bring much, my daughter and I enjoyed managing our budget. We happily browsed and bought fresh vegetables, groceries, and other necessities. It's a shame I didn't take any pictures of the market because of my own clumsiness! 555
✨ My Heart's Mission: Caring Brings Happiness
Upon returning home and organizing the refrigerator, my most important mission begins: taking care of my mother-in-law. Today, I cooked pork and egg rice porridge, the aroma filling the air. I slowly simmered it until the rice was perfectly soft, then served it to cool. While it was cooling, I helped my mother-in-law have a refreshing bath. For me, taking care of and serving the elders in the house like this is the most auspicious way to start the year.
The scent of the garden and the affectionate nature of my four-legged friends... After finishing my housework, I immediately hopped my trusty motorbike into the garden. The morning atmosphere in the garden is so soothing. I hurried to feed my pets and collect fresh eggs from the bag before returning to take care of my mischievous gang at home: the Sulcata tortoise and the parrot.
But the biggest star today has to be
my cat. I don't know where this good mood came from, but it came over, being unusually affectionate and even showing off its cute, belly-fluffy belly while lying on its back, which made me laugh. Seeing its cuteness made all my tiredness disappear.
During this long holiday, I've chosen to spend time with my family and beloved pets in the comfort of my home. What about you, friends? Do you have any travel plans? Wherever you go, I wish you a safe and happy journey!
