If you have read my last post about NFT's you should be now able to have a basic understanding of NFT and its use cases. In my post, I talked about how a new game is trying to implement Blockchain and in turn NFT's into its structure. This new game is Neon District.
NEON DISTRICT IS A CYBERPUNK ROLE-PLAYING ADVENTURE BY BLOCKADE GAMES. STRATEGIZE AND FIGHT TO PROGRESS THROUGH A SCI-FI DYSTOPIA WHILE COLLECTING CHARACTERS AND GEAR BACKED WITH BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY.
Cyberpunk aesthetics and Turn-based strategy alone should be able to entice users to this game. But the USP of the game is the use of Matic Network to implement blockchain, NFT's and true asset ownership. Originally Neon District was using LOOM Network to provide NFT's but since then LOOM has distanced themselves from gaming and moved into enterprise solutions, forcing developers Blockade Games to turn to Matic Network. Thus resulting in a delay for the game. Although devs say this change will help them circumvent the issue of high gas fees on the eth network thus allowing fast and at times free transaction or at the very least very cheap transactions.

With no release date yet, it is tough to say when will we see the release. But IMO this game will prove monumental if it releases on time. I say that because so far all the blockchain games we have had lack polish, tight solid mechanics, and gameplay. But Neon District seems to cover all these issues from the looks of it. Obviously we can't say that for sure until we see an updated gameplay video or a demo.
