RE: Hive for Others?

in Reflections6 months ago

I wish that witnesses would step up and see that part of their role is to be part of the community, not just make sure that their servers are running and the price feed is updated. Some are devs, some are community leaders, some are complete unknowns - but it would be great for the majority of the users if witnesses drove real conversations that included people.

Some time ago I made similar remarks and earned the downvote of powerful people who knocked my reputation from 64 to 42 in minutes. Since then, I am more reserved, every time I open my mouth someone feels offended…

I support the initiative that users make communities, but not closed voting trailers for those who are part of those communities, not giving a chance to other users to be part of the feast, because they do not belong to the sect. No more being part of HIVE, we are part of a small world, a symbiotic mechanism, not a parasitic one.

Certainly, -I don't know the numbers-, there are users in HIVE who are only there to make money, they don't care about the chain or the mechanisms -maybe they don't understand it at all-. I would like to know who of those users have bought hives to stake them, but using their own funds in the bank; I have done so. ALL my publications stake the profits in HP, I have no need to do it the other way around.

I support your thesis, I want HIVE to be a place where I can find unique things, developments of topics not altered like in other social networks (influenced by AI). I want to meet people who show themselves as they are, without masks, not users who disguise words, make them up to look like something they are not. I want to make friends who will show me the world, places I may never visit.

I thought you didn't care what people thought? Just go with it - the reputation is what it is - most people don't care what people say, as long as it is open and coming from a place of honesty.

This is one of the strange ironies - people, even the hidden ones, tend to be a bit more real on Hive, because that is what gets rewarded consistently. Of course, there are plenty who try to game the system - but that is what downvotes are for.
