Ridiculous polarization, without looking at the practical needs and application.
Do you think it actually is like that? Or is that what we perceive, because it's the polarization that makes the headline? I was thinking about that dichotomy while walking around today, and in my personal experience, most people I know don't care about the superficial diversity, but are indeed focused on the actual value provided by a person in a certain situation.
Now, of course, that, too, can be inherently biased. But I lead me to think that maybe the focus on both extremes in the discourse about it is blown out of proportion.
