I knew someone who preferred to stay outdoors throughout the day during COVID because he and the wife couldn't stand each other. They are still together till this day so they must've resolved their differences.
Yet that experience left a lasting mark on me. Home indeed should be a safe space that we can always go, and better still, look forward to going.
There's also no shame in being at peace alone
