Setting Suns
Once rose dreams of a forever home,
A place head can lay and heart can rest.
Comfort from cold where gardens bloom,
Protected from long past brokenness.
Dancing across forest brimmed lakes
Arise it did with beauty and grace,
Petals fell and dried upon the floor,
With only thorns left in their place.
Home is a simple choice to make,
Complication is for the confused.
Walls are not the bricks it takes,
Home is with someone you choose.
Days come and bleed into the night,
And the night bleeds back into the day.
Sunrise or sunset is much the same,
What is home when you cannot stay.

I knew someone who preferred to stay outdoors throughout the day during COVID because he and the wife couldn't stand each other. They are still together till this day so they must've resolved their differences.
Yet that experience left a lasting mark on me. Home indeed should be a safe space that we can always go, and better still, look forward to going.
There's also no shame in being at peace alone
I think we can have a beautiful house and still not feel at home, while somewhere simple can feel like home when we are with the right person :)
Home they said is home but home cannot fully be home when the inhabitants are not dwelling peacefully with love and harmony.
May our Creator provides us with a home of our choices.
Home;
A place we feel safe enough to be ourselves.

Home is the place our soul always yearns for.
