Companies manipulate us.

Companies manipulate us.

Souce

The only thing most companies want is for us to spend our money without caring about our well-being and not even the well-being of the planet, it is a pity that we have put aside all the ethics and values that we can have only to earn more now.

I used to work in a clothing store a long time ago and every month we had to sell more than the month before and it was like this ravenous hunger of having to sell more and more and more and trying to get customers to buy more of just one thing from In fact, they even gave us a bonus when you sold a customer one more thing or two more things or three more things, that is, depending on how many things you added to the purchase.

And they taught us how to sell things that these customers didn't really need. If they asked for a jacket, we had to tell them "you've seen how this belt looks" and "you can also put an I don't know, a sweater on top of this jacket to make it look better” and the idea was that we make customers spend more.

Companies do this with methods of persuasion and manipulation, with all the marketing they make us believe that we need certain types of things to be more important or feel better and when we are in a sad or vulnerable state, we are easy prey, that is why it is It is very important that we are very aware before buying and that we are also very aware of this marketing that is around us and what they are trying to tell us.

For example, in the posters of perfumes or lotions for men or women, they always put some important person or very beautiful people and in our heads we think that by smelling that way we are going to look like that or we are going to have that success, but it is simply The perception that we have is not necessarily going to happen, but if we are aware of this, it will be more difficult for us to buy this type of thing.

Another thing that companies do to take more money from us is to sell us poor quality products because when they make a cheap product they spend less on raw materials and labor and their profits increase and also when they do something bad Quality ends up decomposing very quickly, which means that we as consumers have to go to the store to buy another one, it's like when we buy a blender that breaks down after six months or a year and since they are no longer cheaper we fix them, we throw them away, we go to the store and buy another one, but this has a price, which is damage to the planet and also that we are constantly spending money.

We have to be conscious consumers, buying very good quality products and if we buy something of poor quality from a company, complain when it breaks down and not buy there again, in this way we are going to motivate these companies to improve the quality of the products they sell us or else they simply disappear.

The companies limit us the information about how a certain product was made and on the labels they put very little information or they do it in a very complex or very ambiguous way, it is when, for example, you go to the store and buy that it says "natural" but it does not Because saying natural means that it was made ethically or that it does not have preservatives or that it does not have pesticides, it is very important that as consumers we investigate these products, how they are made, whether workers are paid well, what materials are used to make X product, and how to dispose of it after we have used it.

All these things that we do are going to have an impact on the environment, in our pockets, in our health, because companies or most companies do not care about our well-being, and we are the ones who have to do this task as researchers and know exactly what we are buying and putting into our body.

Unfortunately, most companies benefit from these addictions that we have with technology and social networks, a commercial appears anywhere and encourages us to buy, I hope that this content develops their level of awareness or that they learn to be a little more observers precisely so as not to fall into this type of trap.

You have to open your eyes, make decisions more consciously to not harm our health or our money and that with our purchasing decisions we can help the planet.
