When other people make posts like this, I occasionally wonder who was snarky at them "behind the scenes" (or possibly somewhere obviously out in the open and I just didn't see becausee I don't go looking XD) to the point where they felt that they needed to make a statement. Because it's you I'm like Taraz is just thinking through his processes again XD
This does remind me that I should probably read the comment threads more. I used to do it a lot as a forum moderator back in the day for obvious reasons (and also because that's how forums rolled). Somehow on dA it was discouraged in some cases (a lot of the artists seemed to feel that other people jumping in on a comment thread was somehow "butting in" on the conversation and would call out people for being "nosy" or something) so I just kind of stopped doing it there and apparently (probably something to do with the layout) hive and its predecessor made me think here was similar so I automatically don't.
And on the rare occasions where I remember that I can and should I don't have time and everything feels like aargh XD
