"It is easier to build strong children, than to repair a broken men" - Frederick Douglas.
Last year, a romantic Bollywood drama movies bring out the emotional side of the todays youth. Youth reactions to the 2025 film Saiyaara were intensely emotional and viral, with reports of audience members crying uncontrollably, screaming, and, in extreme cases, fainting in theatres. The romantic drama caused a massive stir, with some viewers even watching while attached to IV drips. Seeing those scene on various social media platform made me to wonder about the condition of the generation. There were many such movies before , even during my days but never seen such condition. The above lines does highlight the co edition of the generation.

The traditional definitions of masculinity, which emphasize strength and emotional repression, are clashing with modern societal shifts. The prevalence of broken men in modern society is a complex issue driven by a combination of shifting cultural norms, economic pressures, and a mental health crisis. Many men are struggling with isolation, lack of purpose, and the inability to reconcile traditional expectations with contemporary realities. As Frederick Douglass noted, it is easier to build strong children than to mend broken adults, who often struggle with trust, insecurity, and anger.
A steady soul weathers every storm
I saw my 24 years old nephew require all kind of comfort. They need AC vehicles to travel, they are not ready to travel.in public mode of transport. They need AC in summer to beat the heat. They are kind of very sophisticated. Reflecting on my past, I remember how we were nurtured to cope with the different changing condition. From extreme heat to cold, from adverse condition to favorable condition, we were made to adapt in different condition. Thanks to our parenting which enables us to be strong and face all the condition. Parenting is foundational to building strong children, as it actively shapes their cognitive, emotional, and social development through nurturing, secure attachment, and constructive guidance. Parents model behavior and teach values like empathy, kindness, and responsibility, which are crucial for navigating relationships and society.
However lately, helicopter parenting is much into the play. Parent are showing more care for their kids restricting their overall growth. style characterized by excessive, "hovering" involvement in a child's life, where parents micromanage, overprotect, and intervene in, or solve, all their child's problems. Driven by fear or a desire for success, this over parenting often prevents children from developing independence, coping skills, and the ability to handle failure. Considering the situation, it is important that we should make sure to build a strong character among our kids rather than letting them to be loose and soft in every aspect of life.
In good faith - Peace!!
