A paid off place to live, some money for a rainy day and ideally a source of passive income...
And hopefully the skills to earn a good living.
Just a paid off place to live starts them in a different direction if they choose the best direction to go in. Everyone knows that the kids that count the most are the ones who are well tethered. The rest struggle to find a vacancy between them.
