We Talk Friday
(WTF)
This is a semi-regular series that I will run on Fridays to hold discussions on a current topic from the week gone. The aim is to keep them light and conversational, though some might be heavier - regardless of the content topic itself though, just have some fun engaging and discussing with whoever happens to put in the effort in the comments section below.

We Talk Friday Ep. 12: Hot For Teacher
Okay.... What the hell is going on these days!?!
When I was a student at school, there were a few teachers I had a bit of a crush on, my drama teacher at primary school, and at high school, my health teacher, PE teacher, and who can forget my flame-haired English teacher when I was in year 12, who was an exotic dancer in London only a few years earlier.
But they had no crush on me.
AFAIK
Yet, I keep seeing stories in news feeds about female teachers who have molested their male pupils and frankly, I am a little jealous! Yeah, I know that it is paedophilia, but I felt when I was 15 or 16 years of age, I was plenty mature enough to make my own decisions on who I was sleeping with. But putting my own disappointment at not being seduced by my teachers aside, it raises another question.
What is wrong with men today?
Many of these teachers are in their 20s and 30s, chasing after 15 year olds and even younger. This was pretty much unheard of in society not too long ago, likely because women are the more mature ones, so a girl seems older, and a man seems younger. Women just didn't seem to be interested in kids, and female paedophiles were rare. Is it that men in those age groups are acting so childishly that there isn't a big difference from an attraction standpoint between a 30 year old and a fifteen year old? Are the men playing too much PlayStation, and paying too little attention? Maybe the fifteen year old kids are more enthusiastic than Gen-Z and Millennial men?
It can't be because the boys are manlier now.
Of course, the media is a cherrypicked view of the world, but it does seem to be a global occurrence, as in the last week or so, I have seen multiple stories from the US, Australia, the UK and Russia. I don't know what has triggered the change in culture where this has now become "a thing" but it only ever seemed to happen in 1980s movies, driven by men who had fantasies about their own teachers once upon a time.
While I don't know the cause, I do think that it is a further indicator of societal degradation, where the culture has changed to become far more self-absorbed and focused on the desires of the individual. This breaks down a lot of the social agreements in society and leads to further degradation, as more and more people get harmed and perpetuate the cycle.
I wonder what happened to my English teacher....

I wasn't as lucky as you and only had a couple "hot" teachers while in school. Not sure what I grown woman sees in a teenage boy in that regard. However, I think you are onto something with the younger men maybe being no more emotionally mature than the teenagers these days.
In the mean time:
This was the music clip I had in mind when writing. @galenkp was a Van Halen fan back in the day :)
And I'm still a Van Halen fan in the present day. ✅
Fucken love that song!
David Lee Roth videos were such a production.
Indeed, he rated himself highly; entertaining though.
I've noticed this trend too. The funny thing is, if the roles were reversed, the person would be drawn and quartered before they could even be tried. Make it a female teacher and a male student and everyone is like "right on!". I remember when I went to school all the teachers were frumpy and old. Probably just as well. I need all the help paying attention I could get.
Yeah, I wish I had @tarazkp's teachers. Mine were like yours and most were well past when they should have retired probably.
That still happens today. We have a fair number who should have gone a long time ago and yet they still feel they are effective (they usually are not).
Most were frumpy and old at my schools too - which made those that weren't, stand out more.
For sure. It is also one of the reasons there are less male teachers now I think. They give a bad grade and a girl can say "he touched me" and by the time the truth comes out, he has lost his career.
Yes, that is a good point. That is part of the reason I never handed out Halloween candy when I was living alone. Too many people making false accusations just for the heck of it.
As a teacher, I've seen a lot here. I've dealt with lots of issues like that. Even the kids in grade 1 and 2 are beginning to crush on themselves. Imagine a girl in grade 3 telling her teacher that she loves me so much. I teach secondary classes, but somehow, this little girl crushed on me. She smiles whenever she sees me. We might call this a joke, but it's not. A useless man can take advantage of little girls innocence, and that's what is happening. A society where indiscipline has become the order of the day.
Many people don't have conscience anymore, and when conscience sleep, corruption wakes.
Imagine teaching a 5 year hold last how to wear a condom as mentioned by @faniaviera . What are they exposing these kids to for crying out loud. Sex education is vital, but there's a limit to what kids should be exposed to. I like this topic.. Thanks for this.
It is normal for children and teenagers to fall in love with or be attracted to their teachers what will never be normal for a teacher to fall in love with his students they want to corrupt the only pure thing we have in this world which are our children in a couple of years it will be legal in many countries you will remind me they will seek to shorten the years of sexual consent and make the illegal seem legal.
They did this in New York many years ago - to reduce crime...
We teach sexual matters from Kindergarten in my School. We deal with their age and teach them what is appropriate. Even at that, a grade one pupil was brought to me on Monday for disciplinarian action. Whenever he wants to spank a girl, it's at the buttocks. Where did he learn that? I'm sure he didn't know how to insert a condom already, but he knows how to spank the butt.. Sexual degradation is already turning the world upside down from what they watch on TV, see in the environment, from parents, and associates and even some teachers. The thing is all hands must be on deck to curb this......
It's normal, I'm not disputing that fact, however, if their mind isn't channeled in the right direction, they easily become a victim of the evil teachers. The rate of child abuse here is alarming. The most important thing is to teach both boys and girls how to keep distance, and understand when "how are you" is turning into a sweet hug and a secret kiss, and more. No one should be allowed to touch them anyhow even their teachers. Teaching a 5 year old child how to wear a condom in my country.. hmmmmmm 🤔... Things will fall apart.
I strongly stand against teaching such to kids of that age. When they are of age, it's a welcome idea.
To clarify this, there's consent already to educate pupils sexually . What I'm saying is it should be done structurally as they advance. If that is followed, it's within the law, and not against.
I'm sure we are advocating for the same course... 😀...
Kick the bad ass out...✅👍
My dad was a teacher all his life, and even 25 years ago when he would be substituting after retirement, kids would hug him after school, and he would put his hands in the air, just in case people got the wrong idea. When many kids come from broken homes without a father figure, male teachers became a support.
Yeah, it is vital. But there is still an "age appropriate" time based on maturity. Kids should have an understanding of death also - but it doesn't mean they have to watch horror movies as toddlers.
Exactly..
I'm reminded of Indiana Jones and the eyelid girl...
Once I was called a TILF which took me a second to work out and then it freaked me out a little. I was 30 at the time - I certainly don't get that anymore. Thing is, young female teachers in their 20's aren't THAT far removed from Year 10 (16 yo) boys here - not really. Though why you'd go for younger men, I don't know - their brains don't develop for a long time, and most girls I knew had relationships with older men until the boys caught up - I certainly did. My first boyfriend was 33 and I was 17. Second boyfriend was 24 to my 16 (yes, there was a bit of overlap, what a hussy)
And then the boys caught up, so by 30, Jamie at 28 was just right.
There's always men here in Australia that get done for grooming or at least get a stern word and have to leave teaching. The young teachers - say 25 - that are still clubbing and so when the girls go out clubbing at 17, 18, well, they're bound to rub up against each other so to speak.
As for middle aged men hunting young girls, fucking grow up. They're growing old too, but don't seem to realise it.
Here in Australia sex education is pretty good, and I think good schools get in some good speakers or workshops to deal with some issues such as the influence of Tate on attitudes toward woman. That's certainly another big issue in schools, is how female teachers are treated by young males. It's not fun, that's for sure.
As we discussed, the teacher-student relationship is inherently unequal. A teacher has authority, influence and responsibility over the pupil. This makes genuine, free and informed consent on the part of the child impossible. What an adolescent may interpret as consent or even desire is often influenced by grooming, admiration, seeking validation or an inability to fully understand the exploitative nature of the relationship.
Couldn't agree more.
I don't agree with this as impossible. It might make it rare. At 15 or 16, I would have backed my decision making ability over most adults. Not because I was intelligent, but because I had experiences most people didn't.
:D :D
This happened a lot too. One teacher slept with a yr 12 student, without knowing he was a student at the time. She was young, maybe 23 or 24, and he was 17 with stubble. But if he is in the club, is it her fault? Or his if going the other way?
It is more than sex education - kids are exposed to all kinds of heinous age inappropriate content they aren't ready of. A 16 year old stabbed girls at a school here the other day after 6 months of planning. He considers himself an "atheistic existentialist" - what 16 year old considers himself that? This is the problem with over therapizing and having kids roam the internet with no context. The culture is a mess.
Yeah I'm hoping the social media ban here in Australia will have at least some effect, although I'm dubious. It's extraordinary what kids are exposed to. Twenty years ago I was in a video shop and a kid wanted to hire "Saw'. His mother was like 'oh he loves horror movies, I can't watch them'. I had to interrupt and say how bad it was for developing brains. She was horrified. Actually had no idea the movie was about torture and didn't even bother to vet it. Idiot parents.
To be honest I speak with super intelligent, political, philosophical kids of this age all the time. They blow my mind. The rest of that kids life and head is clearly messed up though. Six months of planning is some psychopathic behavior.
Yes, but are they really clear and mature enough in other aspects of their life? I think quite a few are parroting, without that much depth or experience in other areas.
But she likely knows all the latest TikTok challenges.
I am dubious of the social media ban too. Here, schools will soon start banning all phone usage in class. Let's see how that goes.
At the school I'm at kids aren't allowed phones in class. Most don't. Kids still have in pockets but they get taken off them if they're being used.
Honestly I work with a lot of mature kids. Yes they still need life experience but I don't think we give them credit enough for being intelligent - sure, their brains need to develop more but jeez there's some bright sparks out there. Kids are incredible. But I wouldn't have been a teacher if I didn't think so
I had wonderful teachers. In the fourth year, the physics teacher was a young girl, I didn't take lessons from her... She would sit with my classmates and watch me explain the subject.
Regarding paedophilia, there is a worldwide pro-paedophilia movement that is gaining ground. In several countries the minimum age of sexual consent in the world has been lowered.
Source.
For a few years there has been a lot of movement in the UDS on this, with even a politician campaigning on it. They have been trying to change the name of it too to make it seem like some kind of socially acceptable trait.
Lately here in Italy a teacher has made people talk about herself by opening her own profile on Only Fans (it should be a platform for adults). I don't know what to say. Surely a new level has been unlocked !ALIVE
I read about that. It is pretty insane, isn't it? How long until the prime ministers are advertising their onlyfans sites?
Yeah, times have changed. When I was in high school a million years ago, it was an open secret that two male teachers were having sex with a female student. None of the female teachers were having sex with male students.
We had a math teacher who had the good conscience to wait until after the last day of school, and would turn up to student parties to have sex with girls. They were old enough, and no longer technically students :D
I have never had a crush on a teacher in my school life. Most boys fall in love with girls their own age or younger than them. Girls can fall in love with male teachers. Girls tend to choose more mature men. It may be a psychological disorder for female teachers to have a crush on their students. It makes no sense, it should be investigated.
Maybe it is "natural" in some way to have crushes on what is forbidden. But the psychological disorder comes when they look to act out the fantasy.
From what I remember I did not have a crush on any teacher. I am guessing that they also did not had a crush on me...😛
I remember one time during my studies I got a small letter from some girl. I am guessing she had a crush on me/was at least interested. But I was too stupid to act on it/already liked some other girl. So I left that letter without even reading it.🤦But if she did had a crush on me I wonder why? I was silent most of the time and writing one of my books.
Another girl from my school once asked me if I will marry her? This was completely unexpected so I said no without any thought about it...
Maybe being silent helped. Women tend to like a bit of mystery. Most men are so self-absorbed, they blurt out everything and try to make themselves sound impressive. Most women find this a turnoff.
I think this happens for many reasons, there is no reason as such, of course the lack of maturity in some adults influences, but it is as you say the degradation of our society is extreme even some countries of the European Union were discussing what was the right age for children to begin to explore their privacy there you realize how idiotic some politicians are that with so many problems already going to discuss or talk about such personal issues to privacy want to control and talk to children as young as 5 and 8 years of how to put a condom or how to Stimulate as they do in Spain that in my opinion is stealing the innocence of children is different from having 16 and 17 years old who already understand things better.
A couple of years ago, the State, through the Ministry of Education, wanted to implement ‘sexual exploration in children in the first levels’. It also encouraged 14-year-old girls to start a family and that the state would provide them with ‘a maintenance voucher for each child’:
I am fine with explaining certain things to children, but like recognizing their private parts, but teaching children so innocent that they have not even developed how to use protection or inciting them to stimulate themselves is done with the double intention of normalizing that and I will never agree with that, there are certain stages that can be explained to them about such complex topics as sexuality, I have a nephew who is 8 years old and in the school where he studied they gave him a talk about sexual awareness and my sister was very upset, that is a topic for teenagers, not for children.
When social norms that protect the vulnerable are weakened or when clear boundaries are eroded, it can create an environment where transgressions are more likely or where perpetrators feel they can act with greater impunity. The breakdown of fundamental ‘social agreements’, such as the protection of children by adults in caring roles, is certainly a worrying indicator. I want to make it clear that age classification is being misused, a child is one under 12, an adolescent is one between 12 and 16 (girls) 17 (boys). In first world countries, girls over 16 and boys over 18 are legally considered adults. In third world countries, on paper, it is regulated that a boy is a mature adult at 21.
It is a maturity mistake for parents to treat their teenage children as children. Let's remember that they are in a different stage, they are waking up to a society with which they will have to struggle and integrate; but if even at the age of 20 they continue to be called ‘my child’... I have made these observations to my aunts who live in Caracas, when they refer to their 40-year-old sons as ‘my boy XXX has already got a job’.
You, like me, know the hidden intentions of these so-called governments or programs or bonuses to incite young people to have more children and thus generate the population have emigrated or lost. it is nothing new.
What do you think the purpose behind it is?
Seriously, I don't have any issue with sex education for kids, but going as far as teaching them what they can't practice at their age is senseless. It's like exposing them to harm because their cognitive and psychology development is not ready for such. They can be taught vital part of the body that no one should touch, and other things their head can take. Not that rubbish....In fact, it's a violation of child protection law in some countries....
It is a desensitization to a culture that should protect them, but has been used to monetize them.
It is good that children have high-level understanding, but it is crazy how young they are almost forcing children into life-changing circumstances, when they are far too inexperienced to understand the consequences.
And am thinking this kinda scenario always happen in this part of the country, When i was in secondary school i did have a crush on my math teacher but it wasnt the sexual kinda crush just me admiring the beautiful creation of God in terms of brain and handsomeness. However i think this is happening because of lack of self control, every one has this zil and crazy pleasures but the key is most people cant control their fantasies and end up doing crazy things while most do and just get the thought out of their head
God, we had a really hot young guitar teacher and the poor man used to get so embarrassed at our attention!
lolzzz🤣🤣🤣 you won't blame him but the person who employed him
There seems to be an entitlement factor these days, that people believe their fantasies should be made a reality.
and thats the mistake and depreciation they make to themselves
From what I have seen as a teacher myself, it seems more common in this part of the country for male teachers to have crushes on female students, and the same goes for female students liking their male teachers. I have seen it happen, and I have even heard of cases where students go as far as trying to seduce their teachers. Also, male students have crushed on their female teachers, especially those who are between the age of 20 and 30s. The female teachers that have the 'feature' or should I say natural endeavour fall in the categories of victim from their male students.
While these may sound as a joke about the situationsto some people, the truth is, it's a sign that something is not right in society.
Yes, normally it is kids (boys and girls) having crushes on teachers, as they are an authority figure, and more mature. And yep, it is common for male teachers to have crushes on students - but female teachers doing this used to be uncommon. The world is breaking.
This was never the thing for me. I was never attracted to any of my teachers or any other older women. I think this whole thing became popular because of all the news and it is a self-perpetuating phenomena. Also, in the past it was more hidden and now it is more out in the open.
Also, I don't think that this is a sign of societal degradation, in this regard I believe that the more things change the more they stay the same :)
These days, people feel that having their desires fulfilled is their right, even if it hurts others. We see it in many aspects of life now, this is just another example of it.
It's happening around the world I different area. Not all but it is a rear kind of relationship
