If Only We Could Be Human Again

Sometimes, I sit back and wonder why human beings are the most difficult creatures to please or understand. We can spend years trying to figure out people and still not get it right. It is easier for a thread to pass through the eye of a needle than for one person to completely understand another. The truth is that people often act based on their level of power, possession, and authority. That is why many will do anything, no matter how wrong it may seem, to change their condition or rise above others.

In every organization, there will always be a Judas, someone who will betray others just to gain favour or a little benefit. It doesn’t matter if the reward is as small as a loaf of bread; they are willing to sell anyone out. I have seen this play out in different places, and it always amazes me how far people can go when self-interest is involved.

They say life is not a bed of roses, and to be honest, that statement holds some truth. No matter how hard we try, we can not make everyone equal. People love to talk about equality before the law, but is that really happening in reality? Maybe sometimes, yes, but not all the time. The truth is that those who make the laws often create them to protect some and punish others. That is why justice seems like a privilege for the powerful and a struggle for the poor.

Humans have complicated lives more than it should be. We talk about kindness, generosity, and helping the needy, yet the same society that preaches compassion is the one that creates poverty and homelessness. It’s like we build the walls that trap people and then pretend to be their saviors. Because of greed and ambition, many have destroyed others just to climb up the ladder. In workplaces, for instance, you’ll see people gossiping about their colleagues, lying to make themselves look better, and tarnishing others just to please their superiors.

Even within families, betrayal has become common. Some people are quick to sell out their relatives just to gain favour from someone who has money or power. It’s painful to see how people trade loyalty for temporary benefits.

Sometimes, when I observe the wickedness and selfishness around, I feel like not bringing children into such a world. But then, I remind myself that change is still possible. We can all make a difference if we keep spreading awareness, showing love, and promoting peace among ourselves. One of the biggest problems the world faces today is religion. If only we could learn to respect each other’s beliefs and allow everyone to worship in their own way, as long as it doesn’t harm others, then peace would be easier to achieve.

To me, no religion is one hundred per cent perfect. What matters most is humanity, how we treat one another, and how much good we can do without expecting anything in return. If we all focused more on kindness rather than politics, money, or power, the world would be a much better place for everyone.
