Adopted animals with a wrong way of thinking

Almost everyone loves what a puppy dog or a puppy cat looks like and when they are small, they are all cute, with those tender eyes that steal our hearts and also look like little living stuffed animals that fill us with joy and make us feel special with their unconditional affection, these and some other reasons that lead them to adopt them and take them home, wrong thinking as I see it.

It turns out that many of these cute little animals, who are adopted with so much love and enthusiasm, end up being abandoned or left in the care of others when they grow up and are no longer as adorable as they were when they were puppies. It has always made me very sad to see how many people only love animals when they are babies, but when they grow up and require care and attention, they abandon them as if they were disposable objects, it is something that has become very constant lately and in those places where there is no animal control, they are often seen wandering the streets, always looking for a way to survive.

I think that just like us, all living beings deserve respect and love throughout their lives, regardless of their age or size and that includes dogs and cats, that is always a topic of conversation I have with a cousin who studies veterinary medicine and is an animal lover, if it were up to her, she would rescue all those who are abandoned and give them shelter and protection, the bad thing is that she believes that neutering them is quality of life for them, to which I always laughingly tell her to stop thinking like that, that the meaning of life is there.

But well, going back to the main idea we have to understand that when we adopt an animal, we are assuming the responsibility to take care of it and protect it, because they always end up learning the things that we teach them and as they are living beings, they will grow because they will not always be small... I would really like everyone to think like that, but the reality is that they do not.

There are people who do not understand that pets have feelings and can feel fear, sadness and loneliness when they are abandoned or mistreated, they should not be treated as disposable objects, they deserve to be loved and cared for by us, throughout their lives if we decide to adopt one, because adopting a pet is forever, is to make it part of our lives and our families and this is not only when they are puppies.

There are definitely people who do not understand what it is to have an animal, in fact some parents give them as toys to their children, and if they do not teach them to take care of them, what you are talking about here can end up happening. I have wanted to adopt a cat for a year now, since I am finally in a residence where there are no pet prohibitions, but my girl and I have been really busy with work, it is impossible to give them the attention they need. Not that I think I'm perfect, but I wish more people thought things through like we do. That's an important thought, I'm glad I read you today...

Greetings, thanks for reading and commenting. It is true what you say and not everyone thinks like that and understands the responsibilities that come with bringing a pet into our homes, the good thing is that when you manage to adopt the kitten and your daughter sees that you are responsible, she will learn it from you and can teach it later to her children.
