The source of all human unhappiness is the quality of our thoughts. We can greatly influence our existence because of the quality of the thoughts we have. The source of all human prosperity and joy also comes from the quality of our thoughts. If we have good quality thoughts, we can have a more prosperous and joyful life.

Do we know how to think?

Do we truly know the difference between having thoughts and thinking?

We have thoughts that are not “ours.” Thoughts that were created in our heads. We have the illusion that these thoughts are ours, but they were adopted.

We are not, in a way, taught to think for ourselves. That is not what we are taught throughout our lives. We don't even know that.

The noise and cacophony inside us is sometimes so loud that it prevents us from paying attention to even the most basic things.

The repetition of ideas that are not originally ours, that we pick up from some church, or from our family, society, institutions, fill our minds.

And they not only accumulate, but mix together, generating even more noise and clamor.

We gradually forget to live. Not that we are aware of it, but little by little that is what happens...

We forget to listen, not just hear, our own voice.

We end up living detached from our own existence. From our own essence. From what makes us so unique.

We become individuals aligned with the rest of the social fabric. This alignment is important and vital. Of course. But it cannot suppress our own unique, valuable, and unrepeatable tone.

This is not romantic at all. It is necessary. It is essential.

We obey laws that are not our own. We forget our own internal laws. The most basic ones. The ones that make up our value system.

We end up pursuing ideas that are not our own, and defending thoughts that have been ingrained in our minds.

And we don't realize that underneath all this, there is something valuable. A true hidden gem.

In order to see, hear, and experience it, we must uncover it... And only inner clarity, only constant work to prevent it from being obscured by everything else that challenges us, illuminates our minds. Only then can we see our own light. External light is important, of course. But inner light is essential to guide our hearts.

The real revolution begins individually. And within us.
