El Día Mundial de la Sepsis ( septicemia), ya que hoy 13 de septiembre se conmemora esta fecha, la cual fue proclamada por la alianza global de la sepsis, desde 2012 con la intencionalidad de informar a la población general sobre esta patología , la cual es una respuesta extrema del cuerpo humano ante una infección bacteriana, qué provocan alteraciones en nuestro organismo, entre los síntomas de pueden mencionar: Dificultad para respirar, desorientación ,dolor ,fiebre, escalofrío , temblores y frecuencias cardíaca elevadas.
Esta patología es considerada una urgencia médica, si no hay un diagnóstico temprano los daños puede ser Irreversible ocasionando un shock séptico, poniendo en riesgo la vida de la persona que la padece, por eso es esencial un diagnóstico precoz y el tratamiento pertinente, para dicho diagnóstico es necesario un análisis de sangre, medir la cantidad de glóbulos blancos mediante la fórmula leucocitaria, la evaluación de la función renal , gastrometria arterial y el respectivo chequeo de plaquetas, en cuanto al tratamiento se utiliza antibiótico intravenoso, corticosteroides, con relación a la prevención es importante una buena higiene personal, tener el cuadro de vacunas completo y en caso de padecer una infección o herida acudir al centro ambulatorio más cercano para la respectiva asistencia médica.
