As for me, I do not have the answer to this question. I only have a question for this question. The question will be, "Are you honest enough to be asking this question?"
As far as I am concerned, those who ask this question have something to hide behind their back. It does not matter if they lied because what matter is the type of lies they are giving. Is it white lies? or is it because they want to cover for their bad doings?
Even though white lies are considered good lies it is still a lie and too much white lies still hurting someone else's feeling. I do not think that it is possible to be totally honest with someone but it possible not to tell bad lies especially to someone that we love.
Think about it. Why lie? Is it worthed just to prevent the person we love from being hurt? How long will it last?
I always keep one principle in my life.
If God wants me to know, then I will know.
I will not force the truth to be told because I believe that if it supposes to be unveiled, it will be unveiled in a way. Therefore, I learned to prepare myself for anything that I thought might possibly happen. I trusted my partner with my heart but then if he hurts me to my limit, then I will learn to let go.
To be able to live together, I thought that it is enough to only practice a 'give and take' attitude but then I realized that is not true. In reality, one side will have to give in more than the other and learn to make a single decision that benefits both sides even though it might not in favour of the other.
To trust each other.
To be able to make one single decision, trust is needed but then can trust be measured? Will honesty be enough to develop trust?
Honesty is only a part of it. Sometimes words that come out from the mouth is not equivalent to the action done therefore action also counts. Words and action must go together as one.
In conclusion, there is no way to measure the amount of trust even if it is proven by action because nobody now what tomorrow will bring. I think it is safe to be cautious in moderation.
Well, this is only a random thought that runs through my mind. I wonder what everyone else thinks about it?
