The magical touch of rain on my garden

The rain pelted down during the night, so hard that it woke me from my dreams, it was hard and relentless drumming on the roof, beautiful glorious water fell from the heavens. In the early morning I could almost see the sparkles of water drops covering the garden like silverly glistening gossamer from the warmth of my bed. That was all it took, I had to get out and take a closer look.

I was very thankful that I did as I took pics of this water droplet wonderland; every surface of flowers, leaves, shrubs and even the passionfruit were covered with blobs of water.

Check out the pretty red hibiscus and the pink chrysanthemum; water droplets creatively flowing off a petal and sparkles of glistening water blobs. My eyes were in overdrive.

Round the corner the passionfruit vine leaves and fruit greeted me with a good morning, happy with the water globs.

Water globs weighed down the shrubs, the leaves twinkled in the sunless light of the early morning, cold wet water sprinkled on me as I got too close. So refreshing.

What an amazing sight, the rain had waved its magic wand and transformed the garden. A happy start to my #beautifulSunday.

Happy beautiful Sunday Hive bloggers, I hope it is a good one.

Cheers

The last photo has to be a flower, it is a forever #alwaysaflower time, a sublimely beautiful etheric single stem white gerbera with water droplets covering the petals. Look closely, it is a little tricky to see, they are there!

I like droplets on plants. They r so nice to take macro photos.

Yes they are and so much fun for the photographer too.

Very nice 😍

Hi @katherinevc, thank you for you compliment.

Wonderful your garden, you have passionfruit what a delight.

Yes and they are so delicious and popular with friends and family members. It is a nice feeling to give them away.

After a dry spell, when rain is especially appreciated, the sound of droplets on the roof are a welcome relief - the most glorious sound!!

It is indeed, and I think the rain is such a universally human generated gratitude by us mere humans. I will never say too much rain ever again.

Rain droplets on flowers and plants you got me I am a sucker for rain droplets nice post @angiemitchell 👍

Thank you and I really loved your rain droplets on flowers post too. Rain is just magnificent.

Thank you @angiemitchell we have that in common and the beaches 😊

Rain drops turn quite nice flowers into beautiful flowers and simple green leaves will look amazing with a few droplets on them. A garden means much work, but it pays off when you're getting such beautiful images in return 😃

Our garden is more a self maintaining one, we filled it with so many plants and shrubs to get all the textures and pretty colours. As a result we have what could be called a secret garden sitting behind tall fences that is just ours to look at and admire everyday. It is so worth the weeding and trimming.

I should tell my mom, that there are self maintaining gardens - she's working so many hours in it 😅
I'd love to have such a "secret" garden - I belong to the people who let the plants grow and wouldn't cut every branch... my garden would be more like a little jungle 😁

Have a great day and wonderful week 🌞

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

I know what you mean but I like a little bit of order in my garden or the plants underneath the shrubs would not see the sunlight or moonlight whatever takes its fancies. Our Australian native shrubs and plants are very enduring and happy to be left alone. Mostly they just keep flowering. I hope your shrubs are similar.💜

Of course you're right - I didn't mean that much of a jungle in the garden which wouldn't let any light fall on the ground ... a little bit of order would be okay 😊

We have only a balcony with some plants and flowers, but my mom's garden is huge and on places they let the wildflowers and shrubs grow just as they want to grow 😁

pink chrysanthemum looks interesting. not seen it in this colour.
the hibiscus tolerated a lot of water.

I agree, the chrysanthemum is an unusual one that I have had for nearly a year. The rain and the cooler autumn weather has revived the plant so well. The red hibiscus is happy with the rain but a big hibiscus in another part of the garden did not from the last rain we had. It toppled over and I don't think it can be saved

Beautiful photos with the raindrops, congratulations, a refreshing spectacle of nature.

Thanks for sharing and brighten up our Sunday !

Thank you @raizayanez for your lovely words.

So refreshing is the rain! Isn't that funny? It poured here two nights ago, hard enough to almost wake the dead. But, the next morning, it was glorious and the flowers enjoyed it so very much!

Almost like diamonds, they sparkle so much!

There is nothing better than a drenching of pure rain water on the plants and grass. It far surpasses hosing and sprinkling. I believe the rain regenerates us as well, I feel a spring in my step and laughter flowing so much readily than usual.🌻

I have to agree with you! It's true! ❤️
