these species of ant, scientifically known as Odontomachus brunneus is characterized by having prominent pincers or jaws in the form of a trap because when they are relaxed walking usually have their jaws open but when they prey they close their jaws literally like closing a trap at the right time, They are characterized by being very fast and also use their jaws that open in a unique way in the world of ants to remove intruders from their nests and even use them as catapults when they feel threatened.
.
These ants are found in the tropical countries of the world, and usually their sting is of great size ... so in countries where they are well known, they know the great pain that can cause you one of them. the weight of their bite is approximately 300 times greater than their body weight. This species only attacks prey that it can kill in its entirety, unlike other ants that attack everything that crosses its path.
