A couple of days ago I found some old photographs taken in the summer of 2014.
It was on one of my favorite stretches of coastline, about five or six kilometers from the village of Liznjan.

I was there with a bunch of friends, and while swimming, joking, and snorkeling around, we found this interesting transparent stuff that was floating in the sea. About ten centimeters to half a meter from the surface.
It looked like pure water solidified in some weird jelly-like thing. A lot like the stuff imagined in the movie The Abyss. You know, that movie from 1989. It was a hit back then. Directed by James Cameron. I remember seeing it at the cinema. I took the bus to the city of Pula and still can recall the odors and the atmosphere of the movie theater which were pretty different than now. That theater actually, doesn't exist anymore. I mean, the building is still there, but there is something else inside. Don'tknow what, exactly.
I liked the deep-sea stuff and special effects but the stuff with people and their intimate dramas were boring as hell for that younger me. Never saw the movie again, so it's hard to tell if my experience would be different ten years later or today.
I'm not sure what is this exactly. It looks like the remains of dead jellyfish. Or colonies of some micro organisms. I don't know.

The thing looked cool, that's for sure. Slightly otherworldly and the smell was pleasant. It smelled like the sea of course, with a note of something undefined.
Here you can see a snake from the small pond a couple of kilometers from the village of Shishan. These photographs were also taken in the summer of 2014.
The snake in question is the Natrix natrix. A young Natrix natrix.
In the early spring of that year, 2014, I spent plenty of time searching for juicy, edible shoots of the wild asparagus. (Asparagus acutifolius).
In this series of six photographs, you can see some of the highlights of my asparagus picking in 2014.
AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.

I have never seen jellyfish before, but my dad showed me Natrix natrix, it has bright orange spots on its head...
The asparagus definitely looks fresh and edible. Did you shoot for money?

The first time I saw it I thought it was a transparent stone but it wasn't. and you're right she's like jelly. it's quite beautiful to look at.
First photo looks like jelly.
