Woodland Bird Hide

Last week I went to Watch Tree Nature Reserve in Cumbria. This Nature Reserve was an RAF base but is now a nature reserve for the community. As I walked round I saw there is a few bird feeding stations doted around, where you can pause and watch the little birds on the feeders. There is also three different hides you can choose from. One in the woods where you can see a range of small birds including Great Spotted Woodpecker in the treetops.

As I walked out of the first hide, a bit further down the path I was surprised to see a Roe Deer helping its self to some of the seeds in one of the bird feeding stations.

Hides 2 & 3

As you walk out of the woodland area you can see some big wind turbines which are busy generating electricity from the wind. (below)

As you walk past the turbines there are two other wetland hides which you can see ducks, grebes, coots and some other little birds.
