Visit the Kaluagala found on the journey to find the beautiful Geradi falls.

Hello my loving Hivers,

Greetings from Sri Lanka. What's up guys? I believe your doing well and enjoying this weekend very nicely. Last weekend with four friends from our work place, we entered a village called Kalugala in Central province, a beautiful province in Sri Lanka. Especially the five of us traveled there for mountain camping. We also decided earlier to visit the unique waterfall called Geradi waterfall. We came to Colombo via the Southern Expressway and traveled from Colombo to Kandy. Then, while traveling along the road from Kandy through Mahiyanganaya, we reached the village known as Kaluagala. No matter how busy life is, no matter how difficult life is, one should enjoy the beauty of some parts of life because life is something to experience. No matter how difficult life is, if you get close to the nature, you will have the opportunity to forget all those things. Therefore, through my efforts to always connect with nature, I have the ability to forget some of the problems of life.

Since I live in the southern province in Sri Lanka, all the journeys made in the recent past have been around the southern province. But I took an opportunity with my four friends to reach the Ududumbara area of the Central province, which is far away from the Southern province,in order to identify the topographical features there. Due to unique location in Kaluagala village, which is burdened by mist, you can experience a changing weather instantly. Kalugala village has a winter climate that is covered with thick mist, even if the environment is bright for a moment and the sun is shining. There is one thing I should mention here. Ududumbara is easily accessible from Kandy if you intend to use public transport for travel destination. But there is no regular bus transport from Ududumbara to Kalugala. So you have to get threewheel facility.

Although this is a content related to travel experience, I decided to submit my content to this community due to its connection with nature. The central province of Sri Lanka receives frequent rains. Therefore, when we traveled last weekend to Kalugala, it had rained a lot, so the road was wet and there was natural wind. It's clear that the trees have also got a lot of relief due to the constan rain.

As the five of us expected, our destination was to visit and camp Geradi falls on the top of Ududumbara mountain. On the both sides of the road to Kalugala, there were large canopies of trees. We felt a great sence of relief when we actually passed by this place. The shade and wind provided by the trees gave us great freedom.

There is one more thing I should mention here. That is, the five of us came to Kalugala village and asked all the information from the villagers there, then we started to travel for camping on the mountain and the watch geradi falls. But I couldn't walk as I slipped and fell enexpectedly while walking for a short distance. Accordingly, I lost the opportunity to show you a beautiful travel experience because I had to stay in the small lodge in the village without walk. Therefore, I took photos of the sun rise from the top of the mountain with the camera of one of my friends.

After reaching the side road 5 kilometers after the vilage of Kalugala, you will come across Geradigala area. From there you can go up mountain to see Geradi falls. When we reached Kalugala area, both sides of the forest are full of very beautiful trees. There was name board that it was forbidden to turn vehicles, stop vehicles etc. at that place as wild animals roam around.

To reach Geradigala area, rice fields has to take a detour through several small and large forests.Unfortunately I was not able to reach that area. To see Geradi falls, you must reach the top of the mountain and reach Geradigala first. Although it is not possible to go very close to watch Geradi falls live due to my leg pain, but I was able to watch it from afar. You can't see Geradi fallsin this photo very clearly, but you can see it if you zoom in. The way it flows from the top of the mountain is very charming. The small stone area of the great rest can be called a place where the beauty of the nature wonderfully combined.

Due to a my leg injury, I had to stay a small lodge in the village of Kalugala, I I did not get a chance to show a scene of the sunset at evening or the scene of the sun rise early morning. As I informed earlier, one of my friend had taken the necessary photos, but the sunset scene had not been taken. So I was not able to submit sunset photos as I hope before start journey. It is sure that the mind will be filled with wonder when seeing these peaks that are above the clouds. Also, the view of the golden sun rising among the plants and trees is very unique. See you again with another post.
