Big waves — Oleaje alto (En/Es)

During the last weekend there was a high tide at the coast of Antofagasta (Chile) and the the sea was rough, with high waves. The photos that I share in this post were taken at that moment. It is difficult to be precise about the height of the waves, I say there were certainly higher than two meters.

Durante el pasado fin de semana la marea estuvo alta y también el oleaje bastante fuerte con olas mucho más altas de lo normal. Las fotos que muestro en esta publicación corresponden a ese momento. Como pueden observar las olas son bastante altas, aunque es un poco difícil dar una estimación precisa, considero que tenían más de dos metros de alto.

The photos were taken with the camera of my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra using the 10x lens, which gives an equivalent focal length of 230 mm in the full frame format. When the sea is in such conditions is I do not like to take my main camera a Sony Alpha 7, due to all the sea drops in suspension in the air, that could damage the equipment. As I regularly do I share the images in color and black and white. I edited the images in Gimp.

Todas las fotografías fueron tomadas en la costa de Antofagasta con un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra usando el lente teleobjetivo de 10x, que da una distancia focal equivalente a 230mm en el formato de 35 mm. Cuando el mar está en estas condiciones, no me gusta portar mi cámara principal (Sony Alpha 7) por la cantidad de salitre en el ambiente, que puede dañar el equipo fotográfico. Como es costumbre en mi blog, publico las imágenes tanto en color como en blanco y negro. La edición se hizo en Gimp.
