The Atacama Desert (located at the north of Chile) is one of the most arid regions on Earth. It looks completely desolated and for the most part of it, no vegetation growths in this region. For these reasons, the images of this desert look like Mars.
The photos that I share here were taken from an airplane, next to land in the city of Antofagasta. In the fit images you can see the “Cerro Moreno”, a mountain that is in many of the photos that I published before in my blog, but from different perspectives.
El Desierto de Atacama, ubicado en el norte de Chile, es una de las regiones mas áridas del planeta. Tiene un aspecto completamente asolador, y en su mayor parte no crece vegetación alguna. Por lo que las imágenes pueden parecer las que se tienen de Marte.
En las fotos que muestro en este post fueron tomadas, en la parte del desierto cerca de Antofagasta, cuando el avión estaba proximo a aterrizar en el aeropuerto de esa ciudad. En la primeras imágenes se observa el Cerro Moreno, montaña bastante frecuente en muchas de las fotos que he publicado anteriormente en este blog, pero siempre desde una perspectiva diferente.
I also hare the images in black and white format. The photos were taken during a commercial flight and the camera used was one of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The edition was done in Gimp.
También muestro las imágenes en blanco y negro. Las fotografías fueron tomadas durante un vuelo comercial y la cámara usada fue la de un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. La edición se efectuó en Gimp.
