This time I wanted to bring you the images of this flower that has smooth petals and a soft pink color that inspires delicacy. It is the flower of the shrub, native to the tropical zones of Central America and South America, called Bixa orellana.

En esta oportunidad quise traer a Ustedes las imágenes de esta flor que posee unos tersos pétalos y un suave color rosado que inspiran delicadeza. Se trata de la flor del arbusto, originario de las zonas tropicales América Central y América del Sur, llamado Bixa orellana.
I have waited a long year and a half, approximately, to enjoy again the beauty of these flowers, which I like so much, after having cut the plant because its branches had grown too much and occupied most of the front yard of our house and almost invaded the neighboring land so, when we had the opportunity, we had to cut it. From this radical pruning, only its root remained which, as time went by, began to show its constantly growing stem. Today, it has already reached a height of approximately 1.5 meters and has managed to give us, once again, its beautiful inflorescences.
He esperado un largo año y medio, aproximadamente, por volver a disfrutar de la belleza de estas flores, que tanto me gustan, luego de haber cortado la planta porque sus ramas habían crecido mucho y ocupaban la mayor parte del patio frontal de nuestra casa y casi invadían el terreo vecino así que, cuando tuvimos la oportunidad, tuvimos que cortarla. De esta poda radical, sólo quedó su raíz que, con el paso del tiempo, comenzó a mostrar su tallo en constante crecimiento. Hoy día, ya ha alcanzado una altura de aproximadamente 1.5 mts y ha logrado regalarnos, nuevamente, sus bellas inflorescencias de color rosado.
Its flowers are grouped in terminal clusters or corymbs, each of them containing five deciduous sepals and five petals accompanied by numerous and showy stamens with anthers of violet color that, as a whole, give much joy to this shrub by contrasting with its beautiful leaves heart-shaped and of a light green color that reminds me of the color of rich olives. But the fun and colorfulness will increase when these flowers give way to their beautiful and appreciated fruits which, in a future post, I will share with you their images, information and use. Sus flores se agrupan en racimos terminales o corimbos, cada una de ellas contiene cinco sépalos caducos y cinco pétalos acompañados por numerosos y llamativos estambres con anteras de color violeta que, en conjunto, le dan mucha alegría a este arbusto al contrastar con sus hermosas hojas en forma de corazón y de un color verde claro que me hace recordar al color de las ricas aceitunas.
